In our last post on Boat Data Analytics, we looked at the most popular hailing ports in the U.S. Today we show you which ports hail the longest, widest, and deepest boats. We looked at the active registrations of boats larger than 30 feet and made this interactive chart of hailing port with averages of length, depth, and breadth. You may sort it anyway you like, as well as apply the filters.
The longest yachts on average as we may expect are located in the most luxurious ports, such as Palm Beach and Fisher Island. The deepest boats on average are located in ports where the majority of boats are sailboats, like in Boulder and St. John. The breadth is more evenly distributed among the ports and correlates positively both with length and depth.
