This bay boat is truly one of a kind. SeaVee didn't miss a beat when designing this boat. The hull was finished in Ice Blue with white diamond stitch leather interior. The underside of the T-Top is also finished in Ice Blue. The Helm is equipped with the 16inch Garmin 7616 Touch Screen GPS, Standard VHF, Fusion RA 205 with BlueTooth powering the 6 JL Audio Speakers. It's custom designed tower features a driving station, 7inch Garmin 7607 Touch Screen GPS and full control of the boats electronics. It is powered by a single 350 HP Mercury Verado with only 168 Hours on it.
Sea Vee Boats is pleased to announce the introduction of the all new Sea Vee 270Z Bay Boat model. The 270Z redefines the Bay Boat category from the bottom up. It begins with a state-of-the-art manufacturing process where the hull, stringers and bulkheads are fabricated using a vacuum assisted resin transfer Infusion (VARTM) process. While resin infusion is being used by a few other builders, Sea Vee is the only boat company to build a boat with boat hull and deck completely infused, with stringers and bulkheads. This high-tech, cored, unibody construction results in reduced VOC emissions, a higher quality laminate, and a practically indestructible boat. Foam filled cavities also make the boat unsinkable.
The 270Z features multiple lifting bodies with unique hull geometry that results in a fixed running trim angle. The lifting bodies ensure the optimum angle of attack that produces maximum hull lift with minimum resistance regardless of speed or sea conditions. The cross ventilated twin stepped hull of the 270Z produces greater efficiency than ordinary stepped hull boats. This is accomplished with an augmented four port air induction system incorporating a central air reservoir unit that produces and maintains the necessary air cavities to reduce power robbing drag. The result is greater speed and fuel efficiency without the momentary loss of velocity, or instability due to sudden water infringement of the air cavities.
The handling characteristics of the 270Z are amazing. Improved directional stability, at any speed, is achieved through an array of speed rails™. This Sea Vee patent pending design produces the appropriate counterforce to hard maneuvering that could cause a conventional stepped hull boat to hook, or otherwise lose control. High speed turns produce opposing concentrated pressure on the speed-rails™ safely keeping the boat tracking in the desired direction without compromising speed or efficiency. The precise handling performance of the 270Z significantly enhances the safety of the operator and passengers, while producing an exhilarating ride experience.
Above the waterline, the 270Z is a study of function and design. Its oversized anchor locker has enough room to store all the ground tackle and dock lines. Twin 6’ long, 75 gallon insulated fish boxes built into the forward casting platform provide enormous fish storage capacity. All fish boxes drain overboard to keep the bilge space clean. The hatches stylishly follow the radius of the bow and the interior cockpit, while their grippy diamond non-skid pattern perfectly aligns with the surrounding deck and adjacent hatches. A 1” toe kick runs the perimeter of the forward casting platform, aft raised deck and gunnel for a safe 360 degree fishing experience from an elevated position. The 107 gallon storage compartment, nested between the fish boxes, features a removable floor that hides three group 31 batteries that provides the juice for a high thrust trolling motor.
A livewell is strategically integrated into the forward area of the cockpit to provide a convenient step to the forward casting platform. Open its hatch and you’ll find 25 gallons of capacity with plumbing designed to pressurize the livewell to better insulate the bait from movement during transit. A recirculation option keeps bait healthy even when the boat is out of the water. Opening the forward deck hatch in the cockpit reveals a compartment molded to securely hold a five gallon utility bucket, eight life preservers and a safety kit.
An ergonomically designed center console features integrated forward seating, stainless steel cupholders and an insulated 68 quart cooler under the seat. The hinged seat backrest provides comfortable access to the fully lined, gelcoat finished, console interior where there’s plenty of room for storing gear. The intuitively designed main electrical distribution panel, mounted on the interior aft bulkhead, is easy to see and simple to reach and operate. A gateway door provides access to the rear of the electronics compartment while keeping the finished interior clean, secure and organized when closed.
The console can be equipped with either an acrylic or tempered glass wrap around windshield, or a complete polycarbonate enclosure for the ultimate protection from wind and rain. A stainless steel steering wheel adjusts to the preferred angle of operation with the throttle(s), gauges, electronics equipment and cupholders in the optimal locations for comfort, function, style and safety. Up to a 16” electronic display can be easily flush or surface mounted for maximum visibility and ease of use of any tactical system. The console’s footrest is hinged and removable for easy access to the battery compartment. And a handy glove compartment is cleverly molded into the top of the console and features a see through acrylic top with twin USB ports to power mobile phones or other equipment. The 270Z can be ordered with a hardtop and is pre-engineered to accommodate a full second station to ensure proper float angle and boat performance.
An ingenious two piece structural design allows for port and starboard, rod lockers to stow expensive fishing tackle in a safe, protected and out-of-sight location. Each locker is over 9’ long accommodating even the largest fly rods, and can be locked for added security. Leaning post options range from aluminum to a complete fiberglass tackle station, each with an array of rod holders, cup holders and space to accommodate a large cooler. The aft cockpit area is flanked by port and starboard coaming boards that provide toe space and comfortable reach when working fish near the boat. Fresh and saltwater washdowns are nearby and conveniently deploy to wherever they’re needed from a hose coil tray. Step up to the spacious rear deck and you’ll find more great space to fish from. A 30 gallon center livewell at the transom holds lots of bait, and can be pressurized and recirculated just like the forward livewell. To its port and starboard are storage compartments that can be insulated for additional fish box capacity, or upgraded to 17 gallon release livewells for a huge overall bait holding capacity with four independent livewells on board. Lift the raised aft deck center hatch and it reveals the integrated seat and backrest. Under the seat is ample access to the bilge space. Twin independent bilge pumps, bronze hardware and high quality plumbing material are big boat features that contribute to the integrity of the vessel and safety of its occupants.
There is no space wasting motor well on the 270Z. The raised aft deck meets the transom where the engine is mounted to the standard hydraulically operated Sea Star jackplate. There’s ample room for a single or twin powered anchor pole(s) and the Garelick tube boarding ladder.
The 270Z model is available in a single or twin outboard engine configuration and can handle up to 450 hp on the transom. Its 110 gallon epoxy coated aluminum fuel tank is mounted on the boat’s center of gravity to help prevent trim angle changes as fuel is added or consumed. All light fixtures are LED and the cup holders, rod holders and cleats drain overboard or onto the deck and out through the scuppers. A LE version will be available that includes additional family friendly features to enhance the cruising and sand bar experience.
The 270Z is a dramatic combination of beauty, power and functionality with the practicality of a bay boat and virtues of a serious offshore machine.
