June 28, 2012 2:33 am

Now that its new construction shed for megayachts measuring 92′ (28 meters) and larger is finished, Mulder Shipyard has started the Mulder 98 Flybridge there. The aluminum hull is well on its way to taking shape. However, that’s not the big news regarding the project.

Last year, when Mulder announced the 98 Flybridge, it revealed that Guido de Groot Design Omega Architects, to oversee interior design. Mulder Shipyard and Omega Architects are already working together on another project, a Bellagio model, which is a smaller motoryacht series.

The owner of the Mulder 98 Flybridge Yacht, a Russian client, has requested mostly American walnut paneling. In some areas the wood will be stained the traditional rich brown, while others will feature the wood in its natural state, which should make for a nice combination. Also making for a nice combination: a mixture of leather panels and brushed stainless steel.

The Mulder 98 Flybridge will feature all staterooms below decks. The owner’s suite will be accompanied by 3 guest staterooms.

Delivery is set for 2013.
