Brian Ragsdale

Being raised in a yachting family, Brian started boating at the age of eight. While growing up in Alpharetta, Georgia, Brian and the family enjoyed traveling to the coast to go yachting at every opportunity. He spent his early years on the waters from New York to Florida and the Bahamas.

A strong passion for fishing rapidly developed, and the family’s motoryacht soon became a 43’ Bertram sportfish. Everyone enjoyed fishing and actively campaigned the yacht in tournaments, fished for pleasure, and became avid divers.

At the age of 18, Brian received his captain’s license. A capable and responsible captain, the family encouraged Brian to take and use the yacht at every opportunity. With his broad knowledge of sportfishing he became a well-known and successful angler in South Florida and the Bahamas, fishing and winning many tournaments.

Fishing was not Brian’s only interest, but he never moved far from the water.  He received his bachelor's in psychology from Lynn University in Boca Raton while spending his summers and free time delivering yachts, chartering and fishing the tournament circuit or helping others with their yachts. With his diverse and extensive knowledge of yachts, fishing, diving, navigation and everything in or on the water, a career as a yachting consultant was inevitable.

After 10 years in the “minors,” Brian joined the major league with Denison Yacht Sales. He lives onboard his Azimut motoryacht, cruises often and fishes regularly with team members and clients.
