Cannes Boat Show Starts Today

The 38th edition of the Cannes Boat Show kicked off the boat show season today September 8 and goes through the 13th, 2015 across three remarkable French Riviera sites: ‘Vieux Port’, ‘Port Pierre Canto’, and ‘Palais de Festivals’. There will be more than 550 boats on display in water and on land and more than 100 world premiere editions.

Each September, Europe’s leading in-water luxury boat show welcomes brokers, builders, charter agencies, designers, suppliers, potential buyers, and enthusiasts, as well as manufacturers of luxury yacht toys. Some of the following brands on display include: Fiart Mare Spa, Lagoon, Lomac Nautica, Mulder Shipyard, Advanced Italian Yachts SLR, Northstar, Fountaine Pajot Catamarans, Azimut Yachts, Vismara Marine Spa, and De Antonio Yachts.

In honor of its 38th edition, the Cannes Boat Show (officially known as Cannes Yachting Festival) is launching its 1st Concours d’Élégance, a contest for motor and day boats under 12 meters. The contest will consist of a presentation aboard an elegant boat with four crew members, including a woman. It will take place in the middle of the Viex Port de Cannes on Thursday, September 10 from 5:00PM to 6:30PM.

New to the Cannes Yachting Festival in 2015, there will be 140 new models and the five largest motor yachts: Baglietto – Baglietto 46m – 46,30m; Baglietto – Baglietto 43m Fast – 43,65m; Sanlorenzo – 460 Exp – 42,20m; Benetti – Crystal 140 – 41,94m; and Majesty Yachts – Majesty 135 – 41,15m.

This year, Cannes Yachting Festival is launching a “Services & Design” area in the heart of Palais de Festivals, featuring a service providers exhibition for architects, designers, and consultants working with various manufacturers and buyers of boats and superyachts.

Superyacht broker & Certified Professional Yacht Broker, Bob Anslow will be exhibiting the 121 Couach 2011 Arion. A spacious cruiser with a long range capability and a high performance hull, Arion reaches a top speed around 29 knots. She was built with new age construction techniques and is loaded with electronics and upgrades.

Additionally, superyacht broker Alex G. Clarke will be exhibiting the 75 Arno Leopard IDEFIX in Port Pierre Canto. This beautiful motor yacht is VAT paid with low hours and up-to-date on all servicing. She is in pristine condition and has been captain-maintained since new.

Event hours are from 10:00AM to 7:00PM every day except from 10:00AM to 10:00PM on Friday and 10:00AM to 7:00PM on Sunday. Visitors can purchase tickets online: “solo offer” 1 ticket for €15 and “duo offer” 2 tickets for €28. There are four VIP packages available: 1 day/2 people for €66, 6 days/2 people for €220, Carte Rivera 6 days/2 people for €880, and Carte Riviera & Yacht Trophies 6 days/2 people for €1320.
