Interactive Look at the Most Popular Boat Names

In previous posts in our Boat Data Analytics series, we focused on hailing ports by number of boats registered and by dimensions. Today we take a look at a ranking of the most popular boat names in the United States. Using the filters on the right, you can see the changes depending on state and/or length.

Serenity, Freedom, and Andiamo are 3 of the most popular in the entire country. The leaders differ by state -in Florida the most popular name is Island Time, and in Illinois it is Summer Wind. The most popular names also seem to depend on the boat’s length, but Serenity and Freedom are the leaders in almost every length category.
