45′ Sea Ray Sundancer Walkthrough Video

December 22, 2016 8:49 am

This particular Sea Ray has found a new home, but this walkthrough offers you an idea of the general layout and overall features of this type of boat. Join us as we take a look at this 45′ Sundancer:

Welcome to Lighthouse Point, Florida. Today we’ll be taking you onboard the Sea Ray 450 Sundancer. She’s a unique blend of clever design and ease of use with hers Zeus pod drives. Let’s step onboard.

As we board the boat you’ll notice she has a large swim platform with plenty of seating back here as well. You have a fold-out swim ladder on the starboard side. The aft seating area can be a simple sunpad or you can open these doors to allow additional access into the cockpit. Under the sunpad is plenty of storage for lines and fenders.

As we move into the cockpit you’ll find that you have a lot of room for friends and family. Over on the starboard side we have the optional grill with a refrigerator drawer beneath. Adjacent to that, from left to right, we have a trash receptacle, sink and more storage.

And above this area is your flatscreen TV right in the cockpit. Also in this area is your engine access that can be raised and lowered with the push of a button. She’s powered by Cummins 380s offering a total of 760 horsepower.

As we continue forward you’ll find her electric sunroof. On the port side we have seating with a bolster. And across from that on the starboard side is your helm station with another bolster seat for the captain.

This Sea Ray 450 has two Raymarine E120s, which is a rare option compared to the other 450s currently on the market. You also have the Smart Craft instrumentation and vessel view as well as GPS, chartplotter, radar, autopilot and more. You also have your joystick control and starboard side.

The joystick is a fantastic feature for those who aren’t familiar. If you want to spin her on a dime, just rotate the joystick in the desired direction. If you want the whole boat to just go left or right, the joystick can handle that as well.

Before we head inside, let’s look at the bow. You have a sunpad up here along with a hatch to access your forward stateroom. You also have your windlass and stainless steel anchor.

Now let’s head down below. A great feature of the 450 Sundancer is that you have a media room that can also serve as a second stateroom. On the port side is a sofa with ultra leather and on the starboard side is a 42-inch flatscreen TV. Under the TV is plenty of drawer storage as well as an Xbox gaming station for the kids.

Now let’s convert this area into a stateroom. Fold out the sofa, draw your curtains, and just like that you have your private second stateroom.

Continuing forward we find the dinette on the port side. This table does fold up if you need it to. Across from that on the starboard side is your galley. You have your fridge and freezer. Above that is a lot of storage and a microwave oven is to the right. Next to the fridge and freezer is more storage. Let’s open these up so you can see just how large they are.

You also have a 2-burner cooktop as well as a stainless steel sink. Forward of the galley on the starboard side is your day-head with a separate stall shower across from that. And in the bow we arrive in your forward stateroom. A posturepedic bed is complemented by cedar lined hanging closets to port and starboard and a flatscreen TV.
