Privilege catamarans are reliable for circumnavigation and comfortable at the dock as well as at sea. Join us as we take a look at a 2008 Privilege 615:
Welcome back to the yachting capital of the world, Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Today we’ll be taking you on board a beautifully built sailing catamaran, the Privilege 615 – 61-feet long and over 30 feet of beam. Let’s step on board.
Beginning aft you’ll notice her davit system that lowers your tender in and out of the water. And there’s plenty of space to do that on both the port and starboard swim platforms.
Let’s head up to your duel helm stations. You have an outstanding view from here from both the port and starboard stations. This area comes fully equipped including GPS, autopilot, wind speed and direction, and plotter.
Forward of the helm station are your solar panels that provide a renewable source of power. Her foredeck is very spacious. You’ll see several hatches that allow light inside and can be opened for some fresh sea breeze if you wanted to. And all the way forward are your trampolines on both the port and starboard sides.
One of the best places on this 615 is her spacious cockpit. Beautiful teak flooring and plenty of comfortable seating for the friends and family, and enjoy a wonderful meal with them at your large cockpit table.
Now let’s step inside and explore her expansive interior. On the port side is your navigation center. Here you can plot your journey; anywhere the wind can take you. Forward of your nav station is another dining table. You can add chairs to fit more guests if needed.
An additional seating area is adjacent to that on the starboard side. This would be a great place to enjoy a cocktail. Where better to make one than at your bar, which is located on the starboard side of the salon, and everyone can enjoy a great movie on your flatscreen TV.
As we make our way down below on the starboard side heading aft, we arrive in the first of two VIP staterooms – a comfy queen-size berth, plenty of storage and an ensuite head. You also have a nice seating area near the window.
Let’s continue forward into your galley. Her galley offers two refrigerators, a freezer, dishwasher, oven and stovetop. Continuing forward we arrive in an area that would normally be for crew. But if we simply flip the table down and expand the bed, just like that you have another stateroom. Through another door heading forward you have an additional crew’s quarters with a head and single berth.
Let’s move to the port side. All the way aft is your other VIP stateroom that is identical to the one on the starboard side, including another ensuite head. Notice the warm wood cabinetry.
Moving forward and facing aft we arrive in the master stateroom. You have hanging closets and an ensuite head with separate shower.
Facing forward now, we come to a seating area, perfect for getting lost in your favorite book. You’ll see that the master stateroom is very large and is an ideal place to relax after a long day at sea, especially if your idea of relaxation involves another movie on your flatscreen TV.
That concludes our walkthrough of our Privilege 615. Thank you for watching, and stay tuned for our next video as Denison continues to highlight some of the best yachts on the market today.
