Thomas Cleator

Tom was born and raised in the beautiful port city of San Diego, California and is a third-generation local. Tom started sailing and boating in his early years out of the San Diego Yacht Club and has been an avid boater ever since.

In 1969, he joined the Navy and completed two tours of Vietnam on the "BON HOMME RICHARD", which also called on Japan, Singapore, and the Philippines. After the Navy, Tom worked as the first mate on the beautiful 80' sailing yacht "TAORMINA", a pioneer in the Yacht Charter fleet based in Saint Thomas and the Caribbean.

Tom was also a mate on the famous 70' Classic Sailing Yacht "CHUBASCO", as well as others. In 1980, Tom returned to San Diego and started his yacht sales career with Fraser Yachts, becoming one of the top producers on the West Coast. Tom has successfully represented and advised many celebrities and well-known leaders of industry in their yachting pursuits. 

Tom has a beautiful wife of 30 years and two grown sons, who both reside in San Diego. Tom loves to travel, golf, sail, and surf. We are delighted to have Tom's experience and knowledge of the yachting industry on the Denison Yachting team.
