This particular Beneteau is no longer for sale, but this walkthrough offers you an idea of the general layout and overall features of this type of boat. Join us as we take a look at this 52′ Swift Trawler:
Welcome back to South Florida. Today we’ll be taking you onboard this 52 Beneteau Swift Trawler named Tika. She recently completed the Great Loop and is ready to go again.
At wide open throttle, she only burns 2 gallons per mile – amazing fuel efficiency, made possible by her brilliantly engineered hull design, which provides maximum stability and a very comfortable ride even in rough conditions. Let’s step onboard.
Boarding Tika can be done on both the port and starboard sides, thanks to these access doors. Beginning aft, you can see she has a large swim platform as well as another boarding door into the cockpit. You have a swim ladder here that easily folds out into the water.
As we make our way into the cockpit, you’ll find that it’s very spacious and welcoming. Your cockpit table is stunning with a Corian inlaid Beneteau logo. This table can also easily rotate, so you can quickly access the engine room, which is located below. On the starboard side of the cockpit is the access to your flybridge. Let’s go take a look.
As we arrived on the bridge you’ll notice Tika is equipped with a 13-foot Walker Bay tender with a 30-horsepower 4-stroke Honda outboard. One of Tika’s very unique features that’s perfect for the Great Loop is that her entire radar arch will actually fold down, so you don’t have to wait around for the bridgetender all day.
On the starboard side of the bridge you have a sink and grill above with the refrigerator beneath. Continuing forward is your main entertaining space. You’ll see that you have canvas for this area as well as the cockpit, which certainly comes in handy during those Florida summers.
Your flybridge helm is fully equipped including a Raymarine E120, autopilot and balance stern thrusters. Before we head inside, let’s walk along her wide side decks to the bow. Her bow has a fantastic Portuguese bridge design. And you even have a comfortable seating area here that is definitely ideal while underway.
Now let’s step inside and explore her interior. As we make our way into the salon, you’ll see she has a U-shaped seating area to port. This high-low table can easily fold out to add more guests for dining. And across from that is your hideaway flat-screen television.
Moving forward from the salon, we arrive in the galley located on the port side. It’s fitted with a dishwasher, stove top, double-basin sink and full fridge and freezers.
Continuing forward is your pilot house, with this convenient seating area on the port side that faces forward. The starboard side has access to the flybridge of course, given electrically operated Besenzoni pilot’s chair and your lower helm station. Here you have to Raymarine E120s and basically everything you need to easily navigate your next Great Loop adventure.
Tika has a very spacious 3-stateroom layout. Her first guest stateroom is down below on the port side and is fitted with over-and-under berths. The current owner is using that area for storage.
All the way forward in the bow is your VIP stateroom. You have plenty of storage here including a hanging closet.
Your master stateroom is located midships. You have large windows on both the port and starboard side that allow plenty of natural light in. There is a vanity on the starboard side and you also have a full entertainment center here as well.
