This particular Sabre has found a new home, but this walkthrough offers you an idea of the general layout and overall features of this type of boat. Join us as we take a look at this 54′ motoryacht:
Hi, I’m Jay Rhoades with Denison Yacht Sales. Today we’re going to walk through a very special boat, a 2014 Sabre 54 Salon Express called Override. The 54 Saber Salon Express is one of the most unique boats in the industry. She offers three stateroom, three heads and a cruise speed mid to high 20 knot range and a top speed well over 30 knots.
Beginning in the cockpit, you have port and starboard Sunbrella cushioned seating, which face two beautiful cherry wood tables, which when you extend the SureShade, makes it perfect for al fresco dining.
In addition, you’ve got two aft-facing seats. So you could literally have as many as 8-people in the cockpit and everyone can be comfortable.
Included in the sale is a 10-foot AB inflatable, rigid-bottom inflatable, it’s carried on a freedom lift. Just after the salon door in the cockpit is your engine room access through an electrically raising hatch. The engine room features your twin IPS 950 pod drives, and there is almost 6 feet of headroom, unheard of in a 54-foot boat.
Being a Downeast boat, she features very wide walk around side decks with big stainless steel rails that run the whole perimeter of the boat. On the bow, you have a dual anchoring system and heavy-duty ground tackle for when you’re ready to drop the hook.
The first thing you notice when you come aboard is the 360-degree windows. Not only does it offer great visibility when you’re running the boat, but it just gives you a feeling of light, airiness and brings the outside in.
You have port and starboard ultra-leather settees, which are flanked by two high-low cherry wood tables. The starboard table raises and lowers electrically to dining height, cocktail height or you can lower it all the way and the starboard side settee converts into a double berth. Just forward of the starboard side settee is a pop-up 40-inch LED television, which raises and lowers electrically and swivels.
Moving forward on the starboard side is your helm station with twin Stidd seats, the latest in Garmin glass bridge electronics and the Sabre switching system.
The starboard side Stidd seat has the Volvo Penta joystick built right into the arm rest of the chair. In addition, she’s equipped with a dynamic positioning system, which allows the boat to remain completely stationary regardless of wind or current conditions with the push of a button.
Just above the helm station is an electrically operated sunroof to let fresh air in on a nice day or adds more light. So just across from the helm station is the upper level of the galley. It features a very large under mounted stainless steel sink, dual burner induction cooktop and two Sub-zero refrigerator drawer.
Going to the lower level of the galley is a wine cooler and two more Sub-zero drawers. That area when not in use as a galley can be used as a small office, as it’s equipped with a USB port and electrical outlets that hide away. At any time while you’re watching this video, you can click on the info button on the top right corner of your screen for full listing specifications.
Across from the lower level galley is the master stateroom. It’s entered through double Shoji style doors and features an athwartship queen-size island berth and a magnificent head with ceramic tile floors and shower as well as a raised designer sink on a high gloss cherry vanity.
Continuing forward on the port side is your day head. Followed by your guest stateroom with upper and lower berths, and your lower berth is actually a double size and your upper berth is a single berth.
Moving all the way forward is your VIP guest stateroom with an island-size queen berth, ensuite bath with stall shower and it also has two entryways, so it can service the guest stateroom as well.
