In February 2015 my wife and I decided we wanted to get back into boating and began our search for the perfect vessel. We had no idea what we were looking for beyond at least a decent weekender or maybe larger. Our search began at the Halifax Harbor Marina in Daytona Beach, FL and while looking at pictures in a window we were greeted by Mike Mahoney.

From the very beginning, Mike was pleasant, helpful, and knowledgeable. I have a fairly broad knowledge of commercial and pleasure boating but found Mike’s insight very beneficial to our search process.

Between Mike and I perusing the various resources for boats, we viewed several which helped Tami and I narrow down our search. Mike remained positive and energetic, standing ready to help and answer emails and calls. We traveled as needed to explore the possibilities and weeded out some real dogs.

Finally, we discovered our diamond and when it came time for the survey, Mike’s broad circle of friends and resources made the process not only easier but also allowed us to be confident in our final decision.

Mike took us step by step through the purchase process making it painless. He went as far as recommendations for dockage, preparation of our new Silverton 392 for the journey to Daytona Beach, and keeping in touch with us along the way. As we didn’t know anyone for maintenance, service, and other boating needs Mike has been helpful even now with contacts and advice. Tami and I highly recommend Mike Mahoney as a Yacht Broker and if we ever decide to sell or buy again, Mike will be our guy.
