Denison Opens 24th Office in Connecticut

Denison has opened its 24th office, located in Southport, Connecticut, a suburb of Fairfield. The office is Denison’s fourth in New England.

Denison’s Connecticut office will be led by Ted Lahey, a yacht broker who has spent his entire career in the marine and yachting industry, including with The Hinckley Co. and over 20 years as the owner of Essex Boat Works.

“I’m very excited to join the team and help expand Denison’s footprint and bring its cutting-edge marketing capabilities to the New York and New England area,” said Ted, who specializes in sailboats, trawlers and downeast boats.

Denison will represent Hatteras at the Connecticut office, which is at 411 Pequot Avenue. Denison also has New England offices in Jersey City, N.J., Montauk, N.Y. and Newport, R.I.

From schooners to sailing on Long Island Sound, Connecticut has a vibrant sail and motorboat community. The town of Southport is a small Colonial-era town, and the picturesque Southport Harbor is located five miles southwest of Bridgeport and almost seven miles east of Norwalk off Long Island Sound.

Southport Harbor extends past the waterfront, and moored boats line the harbor and two public marina facilities in town.
