That storm is a perfect backdrop for this boat, BT2, an Azimut 70 Flybridge. She’s certainly unique inside as well with a 4 stateroom, 4 head layout, enough for 8 guests. Let’s take you on a tour.
We’re going to start up on the flybridge. It can be accessed from the aft deck to port. Complementing the custom storm gray hull, her flybridge is finished in black. And it’s a drop-top, a fully retractable sunroof for when the weather clears.
The aft section would be a perfect place to install a davit and move your tender, which we’ll see later up here, if you prefer. Right now it’s ideal for a few lounge chairs. This boat and this space in particular is one of the best in her class for entertaining. Forward to starboard is a large teak dining table for 8, and nearby on the port side you’ll have a full wet bar with fridge, icemaker and sink.
Another entertainment feature is this big sunpad forward that even wraps around in front of the helm. Azimut always utilizes every inch of available space. Operating this boat is incredibly comfortable, and I don’t just mean your seating position, whether it’s your Xenta joystick for pulling it into a slip, to Seakeeper stabilizers for underway or at anchor or the full suite of Raymarine electronics, this is definitely a comfortable cruiser.
Let’s move down from the flybridge and go up to the bow. The signature sleek lines and mirrored windows got us forward. The bow offers another spot to lay out with cupholders and stainless steel grab rails to either side. The current owner likes to keep the tender on the swim platform in order to free up more space in the flybridge.
It’s a Williams 385 jet tender resting on a hydraulic swim platform. A few steps up from there is the aft deck. This is a great place to get into the shade and have a meal with family and friends. Another teak dining table anchors the space.
Let’s move into our interior. The main salon is welcoming and still connects you to the outdoors with these panoramic windows and highlighted by a pop-up 46 inch TV into port. The salon flows right into your formal dining area, again room for 8 guests.
The galley is located to starboard. You feel protected in the space without losing that open concept. This Waeco fridge freezer is disguised in the de Kaap oak wood complemented by lovely dark marble countertops. An interesting note – BT2 has Azimut branded tableware, glassware, cookware and cutlery.
Forward to the portside we come to the lower helm station. Just like the upper station you have Raymarine 120s, Seakeeper controls as well as another Xenta joystick. And you’ll notice throughout the boat the awesome material selection that Azimut is known for.
Now let’s continue down below into the stateroom. At the bottom of the steps to starboard is your first guest stateroom with side by side berths, full entertainment system, and this stateroom has a private ensuite located aft. To port is an identical guest stateroom. Yet this cabin is ensuite, it also serves as the dayhead.
Forward and the bow is your VIP stateroom. You’ll see that de Kaap oak wood flows throughout all the staterooms. Here you’ll have a queen-size berth, another 26-inch TV and a dedicated ensuite just aft to starboard.
Moving aft on the boat we enter the full-beam master suite, with 40-inch TV, king-size berth and big windows. To port we have a vanity and to starboard is a private settee perfect for a book or a cup of coffee. Also on the starboard side is your ensuite with those dark marble countertops, head and a big steam shower.
BT2 is powered by MAN V12s with 1360 horsepower each, easily pushing this boat to speeds up to 30 knots. There’s 1,150 hours on the motors and the 1,000-hour service was recently completed.
