2017 Fourth Quarter Market Report for Sold Yachts

March 16, 2018 10:55 am

It’s been an interesting year in the yachting industry, and the numbers in the fourth quarter of 2017 certainly have a story to tell when compared to 2016. The tally of yachts sold took the biggest jump in the Northeast market, where sales were up 11 percent. The West Coast trailed by a little more than half, with a 5 percent increase while the Southeast and Gulf Coast markets fell a bit behind, landing at a -2 and -4 percent, respectively.

The international, as well as the total, yachting market faired similarly, with a -4 and -3.5 percent, respectively. It’s safe to say that 2018 is shaping up to be another telling year for the future of yachts sold around the world, and we’ll take a look at the numbers again later in 2018 to see what’s happening in the industry.
