The newest addition to the Hatteras GT series offers a tournament-ready, customizable design, and is scheduled to make her debut in the fall of 2019.
Replacing the GT63, the new GT65 Carolina will feature a cockpit, mezzanine and increased interior volume, as well as enhanced performance that even the most avid angler should find appealing. By way of a new hull and tunnel design, along with the employment of high-tech, Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) analysis, the Hatteras engineers have built the GT65 with superior handling and seaworthiness in mind.
As a result, the hull and stringer system will be infused as a single part, an industry first, to reduce weight and provide more durability.
Dubbed “The Next Generation of the GT Series” by Hatteras, the initial images of the new 65 reveal a sleek profile and advanced flybridge layout that features an ergonomically-designed console. Easy-to-reach controls and the latest in nav. gear and electronics – all of which will be displayed in a non-glare, flush-mounted, “glass cockpit” helm array – will compliment an already sophisticated flybridge.
With a four-stateroom, three-head layout, the additional volume is evident in both the interior and exterior spaces. The ensuite master stateroom is the largest in its class, and the forward VIP is a roomy alternative for guests. Two big bunk rooms also enable owners to accommodate more anglers as well as crew, while the 194-square-foot cockpit features a mezzanine that incorporates optional integrated seatback air conditioning, and large stainless steel built-in storage boxes.
