There’s a new Publix coming to South Florida, and this one will be very boater-friendly. Construction will begin in Hollywood, FL in Fall 2020 and will cost around $18 million.
This Publix will include a dock where boaters can park their boats and go grocery shopping to provision for the day or for the week.
The 50,095-square-foot property is situated in front of high-rise condo buildings in an area that is seeing an influx of new development, including Margaritaville Hollywood Beach Resort.
Publix-anchored shopping centers are highly valued by real estate investors because the popular grocery store chain brings consistent traffic. Over the past few years, Publix has been buying up retail centers to become its own landlord.
This Publix will be situated between Denison’s office to the South at Miami Beach Marina and 3 Denison offices in Broward, including locations at Harbour Towne in Dania Beach, at The Quay in Fort Lauderdale and at Bahia Mar on Fort Lauderdale Beach.
