Candela recently launched the Candela Seven, a Swedish-made electric boat, first of it’s kind to rival combustion engine competitors. Her unique design allows her to fly above the sea’s surface, giving her record-shattering electric range, speed, and seakeeping capabilities. The brand new 25′ Custom Candela 2020 is now available for purchase, and will be featured in Denison’s Virtual Boat Show Day 3.
What sets this boat apart from other speedboats? Her speed and endurance. She is the first electric boat to rival similar fossil fuel equivalents. With a nautical mile range of 50 in 22 knots, she glides across the water quickly, cleanly, and efficiently. She consumes 0.8kWh of energy per nautical mile. For comparison, that would be equal to consuming 0.29 liters of gasoline per nautical mile.
With Candela’s current production schedule in place, they aim to build 30 boats in 2020, which would set Candela as the largest electric boat manufacturer in Europe. This is the perfect boat for those looking for a more sustainable option, as she cruises on the water with zero emissions and zero wake impact on shorelines. Impressively, Best of Boats awarded the Candela Seven the “Best for Future 2019” award due to her innovative technology and focus on sustainability.
