Excess 12 Wins Catamaran Of The Year [Yacht Highlight]

Beneteau Group’s new XCS12 multihull took the award for Catamaran Of The Year and is for sale with Denison Yachting.

The Excess 12 catamaran made its debut at the 2019 Cannes Yachting Festival, and she was named Best Mid-Size Catamaran by Cruising World. The 38′ XCS12 competed against other major catamaran brands such as Fountaine Pajot and Lagoon. Judge Ralph Naranjo described his experience sailing on the 38′ XCS12 saying, “I like having the sail controls and the main living space on the vessel all on the same level.”

“You have that nice continuity between the main saloon and the cockpit, so the off watch is only a few steps away from the helm and all the action. And I liked the overall workmanship. It really performed in the heavy air. I think she’s a great boat.”

This award winning boat also was given the title of Multihull of the year by Multihulls World magazine. With a unique twin helm layout, an option of 3 to 4 staterooms, and an open and airy layout, the XCS12 shines on the water.
