Marina Nazario | January 8, 2021

Learn about the features of the new OC 30.1, for sale with Denison Yachting.

The Oceanis range has been met with unwavering success for over thirty years. When the Oceanis 30.1 stepped up to the plate against other performance cruisers in its size range, judges were blown away. After a successful test run, the OC 30.1 won Best Performance Cruiser 2020 by Cruising World Magazine and 2020 Best Boats (Small Cruiser Catagory) by SAIL Magazine. The judges were impressed by her versatility, comfort, and performance — concluding that the Oceanis 30.1 is an impressive and award-winning package. Here’s what makes her special.

The OC 30.1 is a comfortable and easy boat to sail, yet promises thrills and new experiences to her captain. She’s a robust little cruiser, perfect for sailing on lakes, rivers, coasts, and high sea adventures.

Enjoy lunch on the water at a wide fold-away table with two long benches that comfortably seat up to six guests. The double steering wheel layout creates a large cockpit that seamlessly opens to the ocean with a handy swim platform. The transom is complete with a fold-down boarding step, along with a boarding ladder for easy access to the sea.

As for performance, the Oceanis 30.1 has a square-top mainsail, a large overlapping genoa, a furling code zero, and an asymmetric spinnaker. The OC 30.1 performs well in all points of sail thanks to her slender bow, optimized weight, and square-top mainsail. The Finot-Conq plan, in particular, meets the double challenge of power and simple navigation. The self-tacking jib and the single winch make her an enjoyable boat to handle, ideal for beginners or short-handed sailing.

From the outside, you might assume that this sailboat has very little headroom and basic amenities. Yet the Oceanis 30.1 offers unbeatable living space for its size. She offers 6.5 feet of headroom, two decent sized double cabins, and a complete galley to port.

An open entryway creates a spacious feel for the salon and dining area while coachroof windows and overhead hatches ensure plenty of natural light. In a custom project, Denison added the first DC powered air conditioner on an Oceanis 30.1 for a client to make sailing a more comfortable experience for him and his family. While the interior may seem like an ambitious plan, the focus was on simplicity of use — leading to a stylish, fast, and comfortable sailboat. The OC 30.1 is an excellent cruiser for a small family or couple.

As the smallest model of the Oceanis range, the OC 30.1 is an award-winning winning yacht for sale with Denison Yachting. Contact Denison yacht broker Jeff Erdmann to schedule a private showing.
