Denison Yachting | October 25, 2021

This article is a transcription of Denison’s October 2021 monthly recap video. Tune in monthly to discover the most recent yachting industry and superyacht news from Denison. Watch the full video above:

Hey guys, this is Bob Denison and today’s monthly update, we’re going to be going over three things. One is what we’ve done, the second part is going to be what we’re going to do, and the third part is who we are.

So, the first part – what we’ve done. We’ve done some pretty cool things. The team has been really really hard at work, doing a lot. I’m going to highlight a few of them. The first being the fall boat shows that we did. Not only that we did the Cannes Yachting Festival but also the Monaco Yacht Show. If you’ve been paying attention at all to yachting or superyacht news, you know that both of those shows were incredibly successful. I’m not going to waste a lot of time telling you how awesome they were but they were awesome. All shows were spectacular in every single way. We came home immediately posted our eight annual sales summit where brokers from all over the country come in. We were at Bahia Mar and we had great guest speakers and for 2 days just were stuck in a room trying to figure out how to take better care of clients, updates on marketing – all that fun stuff. That was equally as fun. Actually, there’s no way that was more fun than Monaco but it was still pretty cool.

The other thing we did that I want to talk about was the shipyard tour. We went to Turkey. I think it was 14-15 of our guys and crew, meaning Alex who’s filling this right now, Jeremy was there visiting our European expansion. We went and toured the best yards in Turkey. It’s gonna take too long for me to mention it but Numarine, Alpha, Proteksan – awesome yachts,  awesome people, we were so happy to go. The whole point of that is to learn more about those shipyards and the opportunities that are there for American buyers.

The other part about what we’ve done is going to be possibly boring to hear but it’s what a yacht brokerage company does. I’m going to highlight a few of the recent sales we’ve had which are 50 meter Westport by Chris Daves, 112 San Lorenzo called ARKADIA, congrats David Johnson, 115 Westport by Kit Denison, that’s my dad, a brand new MC6 by Brian Nobles, 112 Westport by Richard Glazer and Erik Mayol. And we actually sold 3 Hatteras Motor Yachts – David Johnson, Jordan Preusz, Dean Stuhlmann congrats to those guys.

And now I’m going to talk about what we’re going to do. As you probably know that Fort Lauderdale Boat Show is right around the corner. It’s happening and everybody here is sort of pointed in that direction. So the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show this year we’ve got a lot of really exciting listings and events. One of the ones I’m really excited about, and I’m terrible at saying this but it’s La Maison Blanche. Alex is going to come on and tell you how it’s really set right now just do that. But it is mansion, we are hosting it with Holman Motorcars and it is going to be one of those great VIP experiences in and around the boat show. We’re going to be providing tender service to and from there. We’re incredibly excited about that and grateful to our partnership with Holman.

The other thing that’s happening is Fort Lauderdale Concours, the first ever Fort Lauderdale Concours will be taking place on the rooftop of the Las Olas Parking Garage. Right at sunset, there’s going to be obviously incredible cars, live music, there’s going to be a fashion, show shoe exhibition, and it’s just me one of those really neat, fun boat show events.

And then the other thing I was going to highlight which goes in our third section – who we are. This is the part where I get to talk a little about the people here in Denison and appropriately, I just wanted to highlight all the people on our team that put together our display that help moving boats, not only the captains but the guys assembling our structure, the furniture all the things that come together to make us look like cool kids at a boat show. It is dozens of people behind the scenes that never get properly thanked. So huge tip of the hat to them. Thank you for your hard work and I really hope to see you guys on the dock, it’s October 27th to the 31st. Everybody here is so excited about the show. We can’t wait for it to happen and we hope to see out on the docks.
