Hello and welcome to Newport Beach, California I’m Tyler Javasci with Denison Yachting and as any boater knows, there’s no better way to spend a beautiful fall morning and flying down the coast, especially on an ultra-sleek boat like this 63 Riva Vertice, represented by Bill Palmer. Please enjoy as we take her for a spin and check out some of her luxurious Italian features.
Few yacht builders are as synonymous with Mediterranean style and class as the name Riva. It instantly evokes thoughts of the golden age of cinema, the glamour of the Venice Film Festival, picturesque sun-soaked islands, and a storied history of quality getting back almost 180 years. That story continues with the Vertice. Her lines hearken back to her classic lineage with modern materials and technology that make no compromises in comfort or performance. Dual staircases ascend the transom and grant access to the cockpit past the large aft lounge space.
The open-air cockpit is definitely the heart of this boat. Integrating a sun pad, a barbecue, and lounge opposite the dining area but the helm forward creating a surprisingly large space that’s perfect for entertaining. The helm is positioned along the centerline of the vessel and when underway, the nose sits low enough for ideal visibility and excellent drivability. That paired with the sea keeper gyro system, the Vertice is stable and controlled whether at anchor or at speed.
The main salon is a versatile space that combines a dining area with huge L-shaped settee including additional chairs which can be folded and stored easily. A central entertainment center and a concealed galley that’s ready to use at the fold of a countertop, all of which is dressed in light-colored oak with metal trim that translates a clean and bright uncluttered aesthetic. Plus a convenient day head to starboard.
The spacious VIP stateroom is forward with an island queen bed, flat-screen TV, and ensuite head and shower. The guest stateroom is to port with L-shaped over-under berths utilizing the space perfectly. Aft of the salon and down a short staircase is the owner’s suite complete with its own entertainment center and full ensuite head and shower.
The 63 Vertice packs a serious punch with dual MAN diesel engines turning out 1360 horsepower each. Power and water are in ample supply with Kohler generator and efficient water maker. There’s plenty of room in the garage for a tender.
