Biography

From passing Fort Lauderdale Beach everyday on the way to school at Bayview Elementary or the beautiful weekend beach days with his mom, Tonya, Nick Thomson knew from a young age that he had an insatiable desire to be around the water.

Nick has taken a unique career path to get into the yachting industry. In 2012, Nick started a finance company that forced him to learn future-proof marketing strategies that could scale with limited capital.

He knew it would be tough competing against investment banks and hedge funds with limitless budgets, however, Nick always believes in figuring out a way to make challenging situations work.

These marketing strategies worked so well that TheStreet.com, BusinessInsider.com, Barchart.com, Investing.com, and more took notice of Nick because of the value he was providing for free in the community; they granted him access to a global stage for content distribution to over 50m+ readers.

After many years in finance, Nick decided he wanted to pursue his dream career in the boating industry--with no experience. He knew that this would be a challenge, but was determined to somehow make it work.

Nick used his company track record with marketing campaigns to land a marketing role at a boat storage facility in Pompano Beach, Florida.

This role played a powerful part in developing everything Nick knows today about the boating industry. Being naturally curious about everything related to boating, he knew that the only way to learn was to be a sponge around everyone, including the service technicians.

From basic 20-hour outboard service to full-on fiberglass restoration, and everything in between (including washing boats), Nick had a hands-on education around some of the best-certified people in the industry.

After driving massive sales to the dealership with his newfound boating knowledge combined with a very technical marketing approach, Nick set out once again to become a sales representative for another dealership.

This transition enabled him to quickly sell around 30 boats within 90 days. Nick knew he was onto something and wanted to bring his passion for boating to the next level, beyond a dealership, for larger opportunities.

His relentless drive for continuous growth and progress is the reason that he landed his ultimate dream job with Denison Yachting.

When you work with Nick, you will immediately notice a personalized and friendly experience that leaves a lasting impression.
