Good morning, I’m Pierre from the Denison Yachting office in Monaco and today I’m going to present you our latest listing: the amazing Columbus 40 Meter Motoryacht LEUDIN I.

She’s 2013 built, 131 feet, 40 meters from the shipyard Columbus in Ancona in Italy. Italian designer, Italian naval architect, and also the interior design is by Hot Lab, all Italian made. She’s built-in full aluminum and she has an amazing absolutely stunning sportive design as you can see. Also one of the very high points on this yacht is the hybrid technology. This yacht is featured with both standard MTU very powerful diesel engines but also some Siemens electrical engines. So we can combine the power of these MTU engines with the electrical engines to make maximum power and reach the top speed of 22 knots. Or if we choose to go very economical, then we can combine the power of 3 generators, each of them with 80 kilowatts to power the electrical Siemens electric engines and in that case, you can turn off the main engines, the boat is completely silent and you can cruise 10 to 12 knots probably 5000 nautical miles autonomy. So this yacht has actually Atlantic range.

LEUDIN I has many many amazing outdoor areas. This is one of my favorites, we’re now on the bow and we are on the highest deck of the boat. It has this huge hot water tub, sunbed area, and the launching area for the tender. They use a chase boat for the guests, so this is mostly the crew tender. You have a big crane you could also have some jet skis. But on this boat, we have the jet skis in another garage that launches the jet skis on the side of the boat. I particularly like this place because it’s very quiet, you’re very high on the water and you can enjoy here being in the sun or in the breeze while cruising.

foredeck

As I explained she’s in full aluminum and this is a semi-displacement yacht. But also she has a straight vertical bow which means that she can split the waves like an ax. So her behavior at sea is really outstanding. She’s got a shallow draft but she literally cuts off the waves.

We are here now on the bow at one of the highest points of the boat which is a flat deck which can lead us directly into the bridge and then into the sky lounge on the other side. This is the bridge of Motoryacht LEUDIN I. Fully equipped, the boat was actually built to be a commercial vessel. Currently, the owner operates her privately but she is certified arena classification, so this boat could potentially be a very very successful yacht on the charter market. We have a full bow thruster and you have the joystick here to steer. Keep in mind, the boat was awarded for all the new technologies that she brought in. She’s both economical and eco-friendly yachts.

So in the bridge, you also have this bench which transforms into a bed potentially for watch or very long navigation. Of course, the captain has his cabin with the rest of the crew. We have seven crew on board and this is potentially a bed just for the person that will be on watch for the navigation. From the bridge, we access the sky lounge and of course, we have a staircase to lead us back to the main deck and we can be private and close the sky lounge to be separated from the crew and the bridge.

This is what we call a sky lounge but it’s also very much a TV room or cinema, a home cinema. You have a day head over there and you have a dumb waiter to bring food from the galley directly up to the sky lounge. This is a very nice area with air conditioning. Of course, central heating as well. So from the sky lounge, we can also access directly to the sun deck which is another amazing outdoor area.

sky deck

Here we have a bar with a barbecue and we have this amazing space here where we can have dinner. We have so far right now but it could also be with lounge chairs. We can shade this area, we have the three carbon poles that you see here. We didn’t put them on today but they cover their 3 parts awnings to cover entirely this sundeck. This is very spacious. The boat is 8.2 meters, the full beam, which is 26.11 in feet and this is a very spacious yacht for this size.

Now I’m going to take you down to the main deck where we can see all the interior the main salon, the master cabin, and the rest of the yacht. So on the main deck, you have the aft deck which is of course one of the most important areas of the yacht. This is a massive dining table and you have a bar right here, so you have actually four bars on the yacht. And this is a very nice area because you can feel the breeze. We enjoy the full beam. It’s also very nice ambiance for dinner.

aft deck

There are two ways of boarding Motoryacht LEUDIN I. You have the standard passerelle like on all yachts on the stern. This is the passerelle you would use if your birth stern too. So to access from the dock onto the boat, you have this hydraulic retractable passerelle which can adjust its height to the dock. But as we are today dock long side, you can see that we have stairs also on the port side of the yacht which allows guests to come on board through the stairs here. So no matter how the boat is birthed, you would have a very easy access to the yacht.

beachclub

The paint was redone just about 7 months ago here in Fort Lauderdale and the boat is based currently in Miami. Of course, I need to show you one of the greatest features of the yachts. Instead of having like a normal tender garage, we have here a proper beach club like you do on really big yachts. Unfolds like this to a swim platform where you can pick up the guest with a chase boat, drop off the guests, set up some lounge chairs, have all the water toys installed and of course, you have a bar, the fourth bar on the yacht to serve the drinks to the guests. We have a day head as well. So guests who have wet feet don’t need to go inside the boat to use the bathroom.

Here behind this door is actually the tender garage. So you’ve seen on the bar that we have a tender with a big crane. So instead of having a tender here, we actually have a jet ski. So this is where we launch the Jet Ski on the side, the door opens on the port side of the boat and a crane pulls out the Jet Ski. Very easy launches.

We have now seen all the exterior areas. So I’m going to show you the interior of the boat starting from the main salon from the aft deck. Entering the main salon, we can only be amazed by the interior design. This is signed by Hot Lab, a very famous Italian designer. It’s a modern but very sober light design. You have a lot of combinations with Onyx on the floor here or on the cover of the bar. We have actually a bar just outside on the aft deck and another bar here, along with the bar on the sky lounge and the bar on the beach club. This is very important on this boat. There are also a lot of wine fridges. The service is a very important thing. Here we have a lot of natural light coming from the side and through these two big windows, we have access to these hydraulic balconies.

salon

So we have hydraulic balconies on both sides of the boat. They unfold and then the crew sets up some banisters to protect and we can have chairs. It’s an additional outdoor deck space. So when we have these two doors in the main salon wide open, then you have the sea breeze going all around the main salon. And when you’re at anchor, then you can enjoy this external space on the hydraulic balconies. Once it’s set up you can have little chairs. This is a nice place to enjoy a cigar or read a book while at anchor.

balcony

So of course in summer when it’s really hot out there you want to keep the AC inside the main salon. So any guest can just open manually this door to access the balcony. No need for crew or for any assistance. And here we have another very cozy very comfortable salon mostly so you can have the children enjoying television while the adults are having dinner in the same room.

So these two doors open automatically with sensors that detect you. This one leads to the galley and with this one we go straight to the master cabin. Accessing the guest area and access to the master cabin here, we have a staircase leading to the lower deck with 4 guest cabins. Here is the staircase that leads to the sky lounge. Here we have a day head very convenient as well to use during the day. And this is an access to the crew area and also the galley. I will show you the galley in a second but the first area we enter to when we enter the master cabin is the office. It’s an office so it’s supposed to be for work. However, you see a lot of wine fridges and spirit shelves here. There are plenty of wine fridges and bars all over the boat.

master bedroom

This is a very large master cabin. It’s very impressive. You usually don’t get that kind of master cabin unless you’re on a 45 to 50-meter yacht. Full beam, 8.2 meters still with the very modern and elegant design of Hot Lab designers. Also features a huge walking wardrobe, very practical with plenty of storage, closets, makeup table, and all the way to here with a huge space inside to get dressed. In the master cabin, you have a lot of natural light. These big glass windows give a very nice light ambiance. And here we enter a huge and very elegant bathroom which features a full-size bathtub, steam shower over here and in here we have his and hers sink and toilet with bidet.

master bathroom

Exiting the master cabin, I’m now going to show you the galley, a very important place in a boat and also leading to the crew area. On the side of the guest area pushing this door, we enter the access to the crew mess and the crew quarters and galley a very important place on the boat. So here we have everything a huge oven. We can cook a whole sea bus inside this oven. We have a stove, we have the extractor, we have a dumb waiter remember to send the food up to the sky lounge. We have plenty of fridges on the boat. This is the only obvious fridge but these are fridges as well. And over here we have fridges, freezers, and a little pantry where the stewardess can prepare your coffee in the morning.

From the galley, we could access down to the crew area, the crew mess, and the cabins. But we can also access the crew area through the lower deck. Here remember we have the stairs to the sky lounge and here we have the staircase leading to the 4 guest cabins on the lower deck. So at the foot of the stairs, we arrive on the lower deck where we have 4 luxury guest cabins. We have two identical twin cabins on either side of the boat and at the back we have two VIP cabins with double beds. All cabins are identical, very large luxury cabins, double beds all the AV systems, of course, like anywhere inside the boat, new television – all controlled by a mini IPad. And each cabin, of course, has its own ensuite bathroom and a shower.

guest cabin

So these 4 cabins are more or less about the middle of the ship. Down this way, we would go to towards the bow and this is the stern. So I’m now walking towards the bow of the boat to the twin cabins. We have a first twin cabin here on the port side which has a Pullman bed. So with the Pullman bed in this cabin, you can slip 3 which means that in total you can sleep up to 11 guests on a boat. A very practical access also is that this door leads directly to the crew area. So the stewardesses can come when the guests are not around to pick up collect the laundry and take it directly to the laundry room. Here we’re walking through the crew area where we have crew mess. This is where the crew lives and takes their meals.

So this is the captain’s cabin. It’s actually with a double bed. Here we’re heading towards the rest of the crew area. We have first a laundry room fully equipped with two washing machines, timber dryers, ironing table, and just opposite from it is the full storage for all of the laundry. Walking further, we have two more double crew cabins each of them with its own bathroom and we have a third one so total right now, we have seven crew on board. And here is actually a really good very practical storage area and this is the perfect spot to put all the luggage.
