Hey everybody, Ryan Alexander with Denison Yachting. Today I am showing you a new listing offered by Denison broker Bruce Schattenburg. At 88 feet this Sunseeker Manhattan is so awesome. Looks great underway. In today’s footage you’ll be able to see that if you were facing north, you had nothing but blue skies and if you’re looking south, you get to see the storm and a completely different side of this boat.
Sunseekers are recognized the world over for their elegant and intense lines and this 88 footer is no exception. SPLASHED OUT has one of the best layouts that you’ll find on a yacht in this size range. With a 4 stateroom, 5 head layout with 2 crew quarters and an ensuite towards the stern, this Sunseeker was designed for spending a significant amount of time off of the dock. The shaded aft deck is ideal for alfresco dining and lounging while the flybridge is laid out like some of her larger sister ships in the Manhattan series. And when you step inside, you can immediately relax and watch a movie or have dinner with the family. With dark walnut woodwork and satin finishes, the interior design is among the most timeless in this series while also leaving a lot to the imagination. The ideal layout for an adventurous family with the speed to match, splashed out should be at the top of your list when it comes to yachts in this class on the brokerage market.
We’re going to get started with today’s walkthrough up on the flybridge. This is the area of the yacht that really stands out when it comes to entertaining and running the boat from island to island. As her namesake implies, the flybridge of this Sunseeker is all about the guest experience and was engineered with versatility in mind. Starting aft up here is a large elevated sunpad that makes for the perfect spot to lay out and take in the afternoon sun. And then just a few feet away from this is a summer galley over on the port side. Over here we have a ton of refrigeration, an ice maker, sink and a grill. There are also a pair of bar stools on the inboard edge of the bar top. Looking immediately forward of this, we see a sprawling alfresco dinette that lines the port side. Here you have two teak table tops that can be expanded for seating 8 to 10 guests. Directly across from this is a more intimate seating area with a molded in L-shaped settee and cocktail table that work together with the dinette. When you’re sitting up here the soundtrack is provided by a Sonos zone controlled sound system which was added in 2019. On the forward end of the flybridge is the second sunpad this one is out from underneath the hard top and is protected by an acrylic spray screen. Also benefiting from this is the upper helm which is found over on the port side.
When you’re running this yacht, you have access to a fully equipped helm that’s based around a pair of 15-inch monitors running noble tech navigation software. We’ll cover more of the electronics found at this helm when we take a look at the lower interior helm. From this elevated helm position you have an unobstructed view of your surroundings including the foredeck which is where we’re headed next. This is a space that Sunseeker always seems to knock out of the park. One of the main reasons for their success with the 88 is the raised seating area located directly in front of the superstructure. It’s in this space that we have forward-facing seating an integrated teak table top and a Bose sound system. This is just a few feet aft of a raised sunpad where you and a guest can lay side by side and take in your surroundings. At the foot of the sunpad is SPLASHED OUT windless setup with a pair of Leumar windlasses flanked by anchor lockers. From here we’re going to jump to the other end of the yacht and take a look at the stern starting with the swim platform.
This hydraulic platform with a 1400 pound lifting capacity is currently home to a wave runner seated on a pair of chalks that make deploying this personal watercraft quick and easy. The other prominent feature back here is the water tight transom door that offers you access into the crew quarters. Given the length of this yacht, the crew space on board SPLASHED OUT is well equipped for crew members that can stay in two available cabins.
The crew shares a common area over on the port side that features a dinette and a shared head and shower. Wrapping up in here let’s continue forward and make a quick stop in the engine room. Found in the mechanical space are a pair of MTU 12V 2000 M-93 engines and a pair of Kohler 28 kilowatt generators. Forward and center line in here is an Idromar water maker that makes 60 gallons of fresh water every hour. When underway, SPLASHED OUT has a comfortable cruising speed of 22 knots and a top speed of 28 knots. Whether you’re underway or an anchor this 88 benefits greatly from a digital zero speed ABT track fin stabilizer system.
Our next stop is the aft deck, a guest favorite because it offers you a place to spend time between the water and the interior salon. With teak underfoot and a molded hard top offering you shade from the sun, this space is perfect year round in warmer climates. Located in the aft is a dinette in a molded-in bench seat with a cockpit table. An important feature back here is the aft docking station over on the starboard side where you can take full control over the engines and bow thruster while you’re backing this 88 footer into her slip. From the aft deck you also have secondary access into the engine room and up to the flybridge by way of a starboard side staircase. Wrapping up here let’s continue forward into the salon.
Finished with a satin black walnut mill work package, the salon on board SPLASHED OUT is both welcoming and in immaculate condition. The layout in here is all about entertaining with its focus split between an aft seating area and a formal dining space forward. In the aft portion of the salon is a sofa to port as well as an armchair that runs along the aft. This lounging space is opposite a love seat over on the starboard side where we also see a high-low TV. This seating is found aft of a formal dining space with service for 8 guests below a series of windows in the superstructure. This is the perfect venue for the whole family to gather together after a long day in the sun.
Before we continue forward on the main deck follow me down a set of stairs on the starboard side where we’ll take a look at the guest accommodations starting aft in the midship master. Taking up the full 21 foot beam of this yacht, the owner’s cabin features a forward-facing walk-around queen berth and is surrounded by storage constructed of walnut. Over on the port side is a vanity that’s built in below a large hole side window there’s lighting on either side of the seating area as well as the storage. A perk of this stateroom are the blackout shades that can be used in addition to a set of horizontal blinds. Aft of the vanity is the entrance into the master ensuite. In here there’s a stone-topped vanity and a large glass shower stall. Stepping out of the ensuite you see a wall mounted Samsung TV that’s just a few feet away from a love seat below the whole side windows. The seating area is just forward of a walk-in closet.
Exiting the master and heading forward we come to a pair of mirrored cabins that feature twin berths and opening portholes. Each of these cabins has plenty of natural light and storage including hanging lockers. These lockers are located right next to a wall mounted LCD TV and are also close to the entrance into the ensuite head and shower. Leaving the lower level, follow me back up to the main deck where we’re going to next take a look at
SPLASHED OUT’s galley.
Located on the port side this galley is outfitted with white cabinetry and durable black granite countertops. As for the appliances your chef has access to, there’s a four burner Miele stove top with a stainless steel hood. Directly below is an oven also found in here is a sink, a Miele slimline dishwasher and a stainless steel fridge freezer that was replaced in 2020. There’s also a side deck access door to port. Stepping out of the galley you next see the main deck dayhead over towards the starboard side.
Our final stop on the main deck is forward of this, the lower helm. Before we take a look at the electronics found at the helm I want to point out the seating area over on the port side. This L-shaped settee with a small table is a great observation area for owners and guests and doubles as the captain’s office. Looking over to starboard we see the lower helm which is where you run this yacht from on long passages through the night or when the weather isn’t cooperating. Found here there are a pair of 19-inch screens powered by Nobeltec navigation software. Flanking these are a pair of data displays to port and a monitor linked to her MTU engines. Located directly below there are not only a set of analog gauges but also a Simrad AP28 autopilot and an ABT track stabilizer control panel. Just below and outboard are a set of MTU engine controls, ABT bow and stern thruster joysticks as well as the steering wheel. Finally, just beyond the leather helm seats is a side deck access door.
Our final stop on board is down a set of stairs just offset to port that lead into the fourth guest accommodation on board SPLASHED OUT – the VIP which doubles as a second master. Secluded from the other guest accommodations, this stateroom has a queen island berth and the same top-end finishes that we see in the midship master. On the port side is a comfortable seating area as well as a walk-in closet. And then turning our attention opposite to starboard is a dressing table that’s paired with a stool. On the aft bulkhead we see this cabin’s TV and additionally the entrance into the ensuite head and shower.
