Jordan grew up in Singapore and the San Francisco Bay; in both places, he raced in sailboats as well as in swimming. He was also very involved in the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. In high school, he worked as a deckhand for Commodore Cruises out of Alameda, as well as crewed on the famous Brigadoon, winning multiple Master Mariners and Jessica's Cups.
During his first summer out of high school, he worked as a first mate on a gaff-rig schooner in the Florida Keys–this was when he started shaving his head and his local friends gave him the nickname "BK" (Bald Kid). Soon he passed his Coast Guard exam and got his first Captain's License at the age of 19. He attended the California Maritime Academy, where he studied International Business and Global Logistics. As a Cal Maritime Keelhauler, Jordan competed on the sailing team, played on the water polo team, and crewed on the Training Ship Golden Bear throughout the South Pacific, as well as lived aboard during his tenure there. During this time, he also worked in his father's office, giving support to the vessels they managed at American Ship Management and Patriot Contract Services. Jordan has always had a deep interest in technology and worked for Apple and AT&T. At one point, Jordan studied for his Master's in Entrepreneurship at Lindenwood University, where he walked on the water polo team and wrote his term paper on a cryptocurrency mining and banking business–which he did not pass because the professor told him that "Bitcoin isn't a real thing". Jordan took this in stride and he is still a hobbyist in cryptocurrency mining, trading, and NFT minting. He also loves building computers and keeps his skills sharp by running simulators at home in his free time. After the sale of his family companies, Jordan focused on his biggest passion in life: yachting. Jordan upgraded the tonnage of his license and honed his skill as a captain doing deliveries, sea trials, charters, and passenger service on every type of vessel imaginable. He loves showing off his body of work on social media. Jordan has been a well-known figure in the yachting community in Fort Lauderdale for many years and after two years of working at a smaller yacht brokerage, he decided he was ready to join "the good guys" at Denison. Jordan can usually be found in downtown Fort Lauderdale by the New River or in the Florida Keys, where he enjoys yachting, SCUBA dving, and free diving.back to our teamIt’s simple, list your boat with us today Put the expertise of our team of professionals at your service.
