He’s great on camera. He’s one of Denison’s most successful brokers. And most of all, it’s pretty safe to say that no other American broker has more insight about the Numarine 37XP that was on display at the most recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, or deeper knowledge of the innovative Turkish shipyard than Alex G. Clarke.
In fact, as you can see on his social media feed, he’s at the shipyard in Turkey all the time.
I’m not surprised Alex has been so successful in bringing Numarine yachts to American buyers, because the company has earned a solid reputation for building high-quality yachts. But it wasn’t until I stepped aboard the Numarine 37XP with Alex at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show that I really began to understand just how innovative Numarine yachts are.
First off, I love the exterior design. It’s modern, but not too modern. And as I saw when I stepped inside, all of those exterior design features—large, angular hull windows, huge flybridge, awesome second deck aft, angled windows on the bridge, etc.–have quantifiable benefits on the quality of life that’s possible inside.
And I loved the interior design for many reasons. The best reason is that thanks to clever engineering and lots of fresh ideas, it felt like this 120-footer had the interior space of a 160-footer. You could feel it in the long main saloon thanks to massive floor-to-ceiling windows. And, man, you could really feel it in the owner’s stateroom, and the massive outdoor space (that splits between being a killer sundeck and a large space to store tenders and toys on the second deck). Oh yeah, the hot tub and chill-out zone on the flybridge are pretty sweet, too.
Don’t even get me started on the beach club. But don’t take my word for it. Check out the video walkthrough I shot with the Forbes video team at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show recently.
Makes you want to buy one, doesn’t it? Yeah, me too. Call Alex G. Clarke!
