Greetings, friends. My name is Erik Mayol and today we’re in San Diego, California aboard motor yacht ALMOST THERE. Today we’re going to walk through and show you what sets this wide body Tri deck Horizon, apart from the rest of the yachts in her class.
First is her massive salon and dining area with large windows that flood the area with natural light. Second, are the massive state rooms below that offer your guests plenty of elbow room. Finally, the sun deck, which is the optimal place for dining and lounging.
We are going to start our walkthrough on the very large eight-foot swim platform that is big enough for everybody to enjoy launching jet skis, access tender, and easily getting in and out of the water. On either side of the platform, there are staircases that access the main aft deck. In the middle is a door that leads to crew quarters and engine room.
Moving up the stairs is the aft deck, which features a U-shaped settee that seats eight at a gorgeous cherry wood table. This is a great place for a sunset dinner and drinks. On the starboard side you have a convenient day head accessible on the aft deck. To port is another staircase that leads up to the sun.
Moving forward, as we enter the electric sliding doors, you see a massive full beam main salon. To port there are two sofas perpendicular to each other, along with a bow’s lifestyle sound system, and a 50 inch HD smart TV. To starboard, there are two comfortable chairs, an ottoman and a coffee table. This is the perfect spot for hanging out or having an elegant party. Aft on the port side is a staircase to the crew quarters and engine room, allowing crew easy access below.
Just forward of the salon, we move into the dining area that has a beautiful cherry wood table with inlaid granite and seating for eight. Just forward on the Bullhead is a custom crystal glass cabinet that is lit from above and provides storage for dinner plates and flatware. To starboard is the full bar with matching granite countertop. The wet bar has a 30 bottle wine chiller, ice maker and sink with a custom granite lid. Forward and outboard is plenty of storage for party favors and dining service.
Forward is the large full service gourmet kitchen with expansive granite countertops and overhead cabinets. The dining area is just forward and has two granite tables with plenty of seating. The huge windshield above allows for panoramic views and floods the space with natural light. This settee is raised to enhance the view and create storage underneath. There are also port and starboard doors for easy access to the bow that has a settee and a large sun pad.
Exiting the galley just down the staircase, you enter a beautiful foyer that leads you to three oversized state rooms. Forward is the VIP that boast the centerline, California king berth, flanked by granite top nightstands with burl wood pillars. This cabin also has a seating area and a table on the port side, and will impress guests and owners alike. I would call this space the second master. The ensuite includes a jetted tub shower, and granite countertop.
Just aft into port is the mid-state room, which offers a California king birth and two opening ports for fresh air and natural light. The ensuite has a tub shower, granite countertops, and it also has opening ports for light and ventilation.
The full beam master suite is incredibly large with raised seven foot ceilings, which make it feel even more expansive. There are three oversized vertical ports that flood the space with natural light and great cross-ventilation if desired. There is a center line, California king birth and to starboard is a huge walk-in cedar closet with a safe. To port is a L-shaped settee and table. To enhance entertainment, there is a Boss surround sound and a 50-inch smart TV. The ensuite features a large granite countertop with twin sinks, luxurious marble floors, and a large Jacuzzi tub shower. This state room is also extra insulated for a quiet sleep underway.
The Sky Lounge is another massive space that has spectacular 360 degree views. It has two large hatches in the overhead for even more natural light and ventilation. The helm accommodates five new 17-inch computer screens and a full array of electronics to safely navigate you to any exotic location. To port of the helm is a Ray’s seat for two and behind is an ice maker refrigerator. Just aft of the helm is a U-shaped leather settee for six. That is perfect for game night with awesome views and a table that drops down and converts into a double berth. Aft to port is the conveniently located day head.
As you exit the sky lounge through the large stainless sliders, the amazing bridge deck greets you. Immediately to your right is a Jacuzzi, and after that is a DCS barbecue and sink. There are also steps on the port side that lead you down to the aft main deck. On the back of the bridge deck is a very versatile space for lounging in the sun, or storage of tender and water toys that includes a crane with removable stainless steel railings. Forward on the starboard side of the bridge deck is the staircase to the unbelievable open fly bridge with excellent panoramic views.
Under the substantial antenna arch is large forward facing settee Forward is a centerline stead captain’s chair and upper helm that has a sun lounge to port and to starboard is a companion bench seat. Aft is a sun deck that fits three loungers.
The engine room on ALMOST THERE is another large space with plenty of headroom and room around the twin Caterpillar C30 engines. She’s also equipped with twin 30 KW, Northern Lights generators, and a 12 KW night generator. This area is extremely clean and organized.
Just after the engine room, this is the crew accommodations that features two cabins. The captain’s state room is on the starboard side and the crew to port. Aft is a galley in laundry area that has a workbench to starboard.
To port is an L-shaped leather settee optimal to accommodate three comfortably. Thanks for joining us today on the walkthrough of ALMOST THERE. For more information or private showing, feel free to call myself Erik Mayol or Peter Quintal anytime. Have a great day and see you on the water.
