With the Palm Beach International Boat Show right around the corner, SuperYacht Times takes a look at some of the largest yachts attending this year’s event.
The 74.98-metre superyacht Arrow was delivered in 2020 from the Netherlands. Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the 1,850 GT yacht features interior and exterior design by H2 Yacht Design, and naval architecture by De Voogt Naval Architects. She is the first Feadship yacht to be drawn by Jonny Horsfield and his team at the London-based studio. Her exterior offers plenty of opportunity for socialisation and relaxation, with her sundeck sporting a bespoke mosaic-lined Jacuzzi, and her beach club aft featuring a unique bar area. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by her builder, Feadship.
Alfa was built by Italy-based shipyard Benetti, who delivered the 1,442 GT superyacht in 2020. Bennetti penned Alfa’s exterior design and naval architecture, featuring strong, muscular lines and a modern straight bow. Her interior was carefully curated by Luxury Projects, working closely with the owner of the fully custom new-build to make his vision come to life. One of Alfa’s highlights is her impressive owner’s deck, featuring a bathroom, dressing room, office, private home theatre, and a gym and massage room. She is equipped with twin Caterpillar engines, giving her a top speed of 17 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Fraser Yachts.
The 56.4-metre Delta Marine superyacht Starship was delivered in 2001 from the United States. Previously named Seanna, Starship features exterior design by Glade Johnson Design, which also worked on her interior alongside Las Olas Design. Her naval architecture is the work of Douglas Sharp Yacht Design and from 2014-2017 the superyacht underwent a major extension from 48-metres to her current length at Rybovich Shipyards. She can accommodate as many as 12 guests, alongside a crew of 11. Starship is powered by twin Caterpillar engines, to top speeds of 14 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots.
Formerly known as Aura, DB9 was launched by Palmer Johnson as the American shipyard’s first 170 project. She features naval architecture by her American builder, while her sweeping curves, sleek lines and interior design comes from the drawing boards of Nuvolari Lenard. With a volume of 495 GT, the all-aluminium vessel provides accommodation for 12 guests across her five sumptuous staterooms. DB9 is powered by twin MTU engines, allowing her to reach a top speed of 32 knots, and a cruising speed of 18 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Worth Avenue Yachts.
The 50.02-metre superyacht Hospitality, previously named Wabi-Sabi, was built in 2011 as part of the Westport 164 range of composite semi-displacement vessels. She features exterior design by Donald Starkey Designs, while her naval architecture was penned by William Garden. With seven adaptable staterooms, Hospitality is able to accommodate up to 16 across six staterooms, as well as 11 crew to ensure her guests are well looked after. Powered by twin MTU engines, the 499 GT yacht has a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Moran Yacht & Ship.
Big Sky was built by Australian shipyard Oceanfast, featuring in-house designs. Standout amenities on board include a spacious sun deck equipped with a Jacuzzi, large sun pads, a full bar, and a comfortable lounge area that can be transformed into an alfresco cinema come night time. She is able to accommodate up to 10 guests across five luxurious staterooms, all of which contain ensuite bathrooms. Propelled by twin MTU engines, she is able to reach a top speed of 16 knots, and a comfortable cruising speed of 12 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Merle Wood & Associates.
The 46.33-metre superyacht Sorcha was launched in 2005 by U.S. shipyard Northern Marine. She is a resin-infused composite vessel designed by famed naval architect Ward Setzer from Setzer Design Group, who also penned her exterior design. The 498 GT yacht spans three decks and is able to accommodate up to 11 guests across six generously-sized staterooms. Sorcha is powered by twin Caterpillar engines that provide her with a top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by FGI Yacht Group.
The Benetti superyacht Lady S features exterior design and naval architecture produced in-house by Fratelli Benetti. The 328 GT motor yacht can accommodate up to ten guests across five staterooms with interior design by Terence Disdale Design. Lady S is equipped with twin Deutz engines, enabling her to reach a top speed of 22 knots, and a cruising speed of 14 knots. Since her launch, the two-deck yacht has undergone multiple refits worth over several million dollars to keep her in good shape. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Worth Avenue Yachts.
The 45.7-metre Palmer Johnson motor yacht Four Jacks was delivered in 2008 from the United States, and features exterior design by Nuvolari Lenard and naval architecture by her builder. Four Jacks has a timeless interior, and is able to sleep up to 12 guests across five tasteful staterooms. She is the perfect summer cruise yacht, featuring an impressive open sky lounge and open deck concept. The 395 GT yacht is equipped with twin MTU engines that provide her with a top speed of 28 knots and a cruising speed of 20 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Fraser Yachts.
Tasia, previously named Milk Money, was launched in 2009. Her builder, Westport, collaborated with Gregory C. Marshall to design her exterior, while her naval architecture was penned by William Garden. The 333 GT yacht can accommodate up to 11 guests across five staterooms, with room for up to six crew to attend to her guests’ needs. She is powered by twin MTU engines, giving her a top speed of 25 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Moran Yacht & Ship.
The 38.1-metre motor yacht Quantum was delivered in 1989 and has untaken regular maintenance appointments over the years. Her interior design, penned by Susan Puleo, is rich, warm and inviting, with dark wood throughout the main saloon and formal dining area, contrasting the light furnishings. With 293 GT and a four-stateroom configuration, Quantum can comfortably accommodate as many as eight guests. Quantum is powered by twin Detroit Diesel engines, providing her with a top speed of 19 knots, and a cruising speed of 17 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Merle Wood & Associates.
Emocean is the first yacht to come out of one of the newest shipyards in the industry, Rosetti Superyachts. The 2021 motor yacht features the exterior design of Hydro Tec and her profile is accentuated by the dark glazing of windows virtually from bow to stern. The interior was penned by Francesca Burdisso and Emiliano Capponi of BurdissoCapponi Yachts & Design. She features a glass walled wine store that is able to hold 150 bottles which are reflected in the mirrored ceiling overhead. Emocean is able to accommodate up to 12 guests as well as a crew of seven including the captain. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Denison Yachting.
The tri-deck motor yacht Namaste, previously named Nomadess, was built by Benetti as part of the Classic 121 series. She features exterior design by Stefano Righini Design and interior design by Zuretti Interior Design, while her naval architecture was penned by her builder Benetti. She is adorned with Italian marble and custom American cherry wood, resulting in a timeless, serene interior. Namaste is equipped with twin MTU engines, giving her a top speed of 15.6 knots and a cruising speed of 14.6 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Moran Yacht & Ship.
The 36.98-metre motor yacht Sullivan’s Island was built by Sunseeker as part of the 37M series, which was designed in collaboration with Don Shead Yacht Design. The 331 GT yacht recently underwent an extensive refit, and is able to accommodate as many as 11 guests along with eight crew. Her twin MTU engines provide her with a top speed of 22 knots and a cruising speed of 16 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Worth Avenue Yachts.
The 34.1-metre Westport 112 model is highly regarded for its impeccable level of performance, top speeds, and remarkable array of features found onboard. The 222 GT yacht was designed entirely by her U.S. builder, and provides accommodation for up to eight guests across four ensuite staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite. Powered by twin MTU engines, the W112 can reach an impressive top speed of 26 knots and a cruising speed of 22 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by FGI Yacht Group.
Horizon’s FD110 is the largest FD series model built to date, with an interior volume of 250 GT. FD110 features exterior design from the team at Cor D. Rover Design, while her naval architecture is the work of her builder Horizon Yachts. She offers enviable areas for both relaxation and entertainment – the enclosed sky lounge offers plenty of seating as well as a wet bar; the foredeck is fitted out with sunpads, alfresco dining options and a large Jacuzzi. The FD110 is equipped with twin CAT engines that allow her to reach a top speed of 21.4 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Horizon Yachts.
Gioia, previously named Sogno, was built by Custom Line as part of the Navetta 33 series. Her interior and exterior was penned by Italian design studio Zuccon International Project, while her builder was responsible for her exterior. She is able to accommodate up to ten guests across five sumptuous staterooms. The 262 GT motor yacht is equipped with twin MAN engines, enabling her to reach a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Denison Yachting.
The 31-39-metre yacht Three Kings was built and fully-designed by Broward in 1999. She has a volume of 165 GT and is able to accommodate up to eight guests across four staterooms. She boasts three full-beam king staterooms, hence being named Three Kings. The all-aluminium yacht is powered by twin Detroit Diesel engines, providing her with a top speed of 20 knots and a cruising speed of 15 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Denison Yachting.
The FD100 features an exterior styled by Rotterdam-based studio Cor D. Rover Design, while her naval architecture was overseen by her builder, Horizon. With 170 GT of interior volume and a five-stateroom configuration, the FD100 can comfortably accommodate as many as 10 guests, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Horizon Yachts.
The Benetti yacht BW was launched in 2007 as part of the Tradition 100 series. Stefano Righini Design worked in close co-operation with Benetti for the series, overseeing the exterior styling and design language of the range, meanwhile her interior was carefully curated by Zuretti Interior Design. The 194 GT yacht spans three decks and offers accommodation for up to eight guests across four staterooms. She is powered by twin Caterpillar engines, giving her a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 14.2 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Worth Avenue Yachts.
Short Game, previously known as Flamingo Daze, was built by Ocean Alexander as part of the 100 series, well-known for its generous living space and versatile characteristics. She follows a design brief by Evan K. Marshall for her interior and exterior design, while her builder took on the responsibility of penning her naval architecture. She is equipped with twin Caterpillar engines, allowing her to reach a top speed of 25 knots, and a cruising speed of 16 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Moran Yacht & Shipping.
The 29.87-metre motor yacht Betsy was delivered in 1997, and has been extensively updated over the years. Previously named Lucky Stars, she features exterior and naval architecture by Jack Sarin Naval Architects. Her interior is light and airy, showcasing a spacious open-plan saloon with unobstructed views thanks to her large picture windows. Betsy is able to accommodate up to seven guests across three staterooms, including a full-beam owner’s suite. The 142 GT yacht is powered by twin MTU engines that provide her with a top speed of 20 knots and a comfortable cruising speed of 15 knots. She will be displayed at the Palm Beach International Boat Show by Worth Avenue Yachts.
With a length of 27.45-metres, Issimo is part of the Horizon SD90 series and commemorates her owners’ Italian heritage with a custom interior design. The owners specified a four stateroom layout to allow for the signature main deck master suite, with three large VIP staterooms on the lower deck. Additional modifications to Issimo include the incorporation of a wet bar in lieu of the standard staircase on the starboard side of the aft deck, as well as a full bar, L-shaped seating and dining and a large Jacuzzi tub on the deck aft of the enclosed skylounge.
The Horizon FD80 series has become one of the most popular models in the Cor D. Rover-designed Fast Displacement (FD) Series. The Horizon FD 80 features a spacious high volume design, a four stateroom layout, enclosed skylounge and a spacious beach club. This is the first FD80 model in the U.S. to feature an open galley design, which further adds to the feeling of spaciousness onboard. She is also the first FD80 to be fitted with Caterpillar 1,600 horsepower engines.
