Hey guys, it’s Bob. Today we’re gonna talk about the things we’ve done, the things we’re gonna do, and also who we are. That’s what we do every few months or so, and we’re gonna start out with some exciting things that just happened in Newport, Rhode Island. There is, in my opinion, the best boat show for charter yachts in the US. Just took place and there’s a very cool, it’s my favorite part of the boat show or the yacht charter show, or the a yacht hop and they do a thing where they honor a very important person Herman Pundt, who is the man very much responsible for our charter program being what it is. And they honor him by awarding the best yacht hop, kind of like host boat, party boat for that event. And they appropriately awarded SERENITY, which is in our charter fleet. Jennifer Saia worked incredibly hard with the crew. That’s kind of her backyard hometown show. And it was a big honor. Really, really excited about that. Great show, great results. And we got the Herman Pundt Award.
Also, we just returned from our shipyard tour. It’s the seventh time we’ve done this. Sometimes we go to Italy, sometimes we go to Turkey, sometimes we go to the Netherlands. Once we did it here in the US and we did a tour of all the major yards in Italy, it was awesome. We do these things because one, it furthers our relationships with the yards. Two, it’s a great team building, kind of great time had by all that go on team Denison. It also allows us as a team to get to know the yards, know of opportunities that exist there and hopefully bring back some of that knowledge to our clients. And here’s a very quick, it’s gonna be an 11 second recap of what happened there.
And we also sold some boats. So I’m gonna go over a list of these. You know what, I’m not. This is Ben Farnborough‘s idea. I once had, actually just a few days ago, my son River said, what exactly does Mr. Ben do at Denison Yachting? Well, he comes up with ideas like this. He said, Bob, instead of you going through all the boats that we’ve sold as like an honor to the coolest hit movie of the summer why don’t you have Barbie do this part? So that’s what we’re gonna do. Barbie, take over.
Come on Bobby. Let’s go party. The man, the myth, the legend, Juno Prudhomm sold a new boat, 44′ Lekker, a 68′ Gunboat 2019 was sold by Kevin Paul called HIGHLAND FLING 17. A 75′ Sunseeker 2017 called GOLDEN OURS was sold by the king of the West Coast, Alex Taldykin. Also HAPPY HOURS, an 80′ Azimut 2016, sold by Jordan Preusz and Andrew Woeck. A 96′ Ferretti 2014 named COLLU sold by Alex Taldykin. Did I mention he was the king of the West Coast? Also a new boat, 98′ Alpha Squalo Trenta sold by the David Johnson. A 98′ Princess 2012 sold by Brandon Barnes and Paul Denton named BELLA RONA. Mike Burke sold two yachts. The first is a 100′ Hatteras 2005 and the second, a 112′ Westport 2011 named CAPTIVATOR. A 115′ Van Der Valk new build was sold by Will and Carrie Noftsinger called PROJECT SAMBA. And last but certainly not least, Jace Kizzier sold a 118′ Trinity 1999, named SUMMER LOVE. Back over to you, Bob.
Barbie. That was awesome, thank you very much. I now will take back over and we’re gonna highlight a few boats that are new to our charter fleet. We have two that we’re gonna highlight in Europe. Thank you, Nico. And also two here in the US. Thank you, Nick and team. The two in Europe, one’s a 51 meter sailing yacht. That is awesome. She’s available for charter at a €100,000 a week. The name of that boat is ARESTEAS. And also, we brought on a 131′ Princess. That boat is called LA VERSEAU at €143,000 a week. Contact your charter broker, your favorite charter broker for more details and all the other important stuff like crew and locations. Here in the US, we brought on 130′ Westport called RULE NO. 1. That boat is gonna be on the west coast of North America, so Mexico and the US. And we also brought on a boat that will be made public very soon in our charter fleet called STAY SALTY 135′ Horizon, big volume boat, six staterooms that’ll be hitting the charter market really soon. And now the ‘what we’re gonna do part’.
So this summer, we are busy not only with the normal yacht brokerage, yacht, charter stuff that we do, but we are also gonna be moving into a new building. If you’re a local kid like myself, grew up here in Fort Lauderdale, there was a very cool building on 17th Street called the Ardell Building. And that building became available. It’s been vacant for a few years. We are spending this summer renovating, rebuilding it. And I can’t wait for the next time this video happens. I think it’ll be from there. And also, we’re combining all four of our offices here in Broward County, Dania Beach and Fort Lauderdale. And that’ll be our new headquarters. So we’re excited. We can’t wait to host you there, have our clients and friends come by. It’s gonna be a great spot. So now the “who we are?”.
There is a man here that is responsible for me being in the industry and the person that is also known as my dad. His name is Kit Denison, and he is who I want to talk about today. And by the way, he’s doing great. This isn’t like a, he’s gonna be 80 this year. He is still very active in the business. But it occurred to me that I wanted to honor him and tell you guys how important he is to me, how important he’s to the company. He grew up in the industry, very much on the property of the old Broward Marine. And then early eighties, he started the company called Denison Marine and was responsible for building some of the coolest boats of that era. Some would say a little bit ahead of his time. But he built the fastest boat at that time ever built over a hundred feet. Also the largest sportfish ever built. And many other really cool boats using drive systems that hadn’t been used in this industry and built just a lot of neat things that made our family really proud and my dad, I am grateful for, cause I still get to hang out and talk with him, bounce ideas off of him. And he represents so much of what I think a great yacht broker is mainly being incredibly client focused, knowing the process, knowing the product, and just being resilient and graceful. And that’s what Kit Denison is. So, I love you dad. And that’s my dad. That’s Kit Denison.
Thank you guys very much for watching this. And I will see you guys next time probably from the new office. Bye.
