SuperYacht Times was in attendance at the twentieth anniversary of Conrad Shipyard in Gdańsk, Poland. Conrad Shipyard marked the milestone with a grand affair on Sunday hosted at the Old Manege in the historic city of Gdańsk, Poland. The evening was attended by a distinguished assemblage of over 350 guests, including Conrad employees, collaborators, interior and exterior designers, yacht brokers, naval architects, and esteemed business partners from across the globe.
The festivities began with an alfresco cocktail reception, live musical acoustics, and a spontaneous Norwegian choir performance. The informative event provided a tableau of Conrad Shipyard’s portfolio of craftsmanship since its inception two decades ago, hosted at the gala by Mikołaj Król, the CEO of Conrad.
Notable attendees included artisans and employees of Marine Projects and Conrad employees, creatives, and partners from within the wider industry. The 44.27-metre superyacht ACE was a focal feature at the gala, with exterior designers from Diana Yacht Design, naval architect Jonathan Bevan of Reymond Langton Design, and interior designer Marijana Radovic of M2atelier studio all in attendance. Denison Yachting President Bob Denison and sales brokers Alex G Clarke, Jim Evans of SuperYachtsMonaco and Andrew Tree of Superyacht Technical and Radek Gendek of Luxury Charter Group who introduced the Owner of ACE to the shipyard were also in attendance.
Conrad Shipyard came into existence under the umbrella of its mother company, Marine Projects – where an inaugural commission to craft a superyacht ignited the company to enter a new path. Both Czesław Kowalczy and Stanisław Bobowiec of Marine Projects, dubbed ‘the fathers of Conrad Shipyard,’ were honoured by the Vice President of Gdańsk for their work as pioneers in cultivating Conrad’s inception, along with Mikołaj Król, the CEO of Conrad Shipyard.
The expanding shipyard is excited about the production of the forthcoming C144S models, along with the public unveiling of their award-winning yacht ACE at the imminent 2023 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show.
