Biography

Growing up as an inner-city kid in Erie, Pennsylvania didn’t exactly offer Dan many opportunities for boating, but the beaches of Presque Isle on Lake Erie still helped shape his love for the nautical life. After high school, he landed his first job as a bottom painter and worked on yacht refinishing projects.

That ultimately led him to Annapolis in the early ’80s, where he developed a fondness for the weather and available opportunities, specifically the ones he saw in the growing yacht brokerage business. He took a position with Annapolis Yacht Sales and, over the course of the next 35 years, made a reputation for himself as one of the company's top-performing salesmen.

After selling Pearson and O’Day sailboats for some time, he began focusing on the sale of Beneteaus, eventually earning 15 Top Gun Awards and becoming a firm believer in the high quality and sharp design of the French manufacturer's sail and power boat lines.

Now with nearly four decades of experience in the sailing yacht market, Dan recognizes the importance of customer satisfaction and delivers expert product knowledge to ensure his clients receive the best service while trying to find them the perfect boat. He believes "there should never be an unhappy customer!"

Besides his lovely wife and daughter, Dan continues to have a strong passion for his clients as well as the yachting industry and was excited to join the ranks of Denison's Annapolis office in 2018.
