Bret van Roden brings a rich maritime heritage and extensive experience to the Denison team. Descending from the esteemed US Naval Captain Elbert Stannard, Bret has navigated a remarkable career in yachting. He captained a 41’ ketch around the world over the course of three and a half years, including a notable double-handed Pacific Ocean crossing without an engine or autopilot—demonstrating exceptional skill and resilience.

With over a decade of charter industry experience, Bret has captained catamarans ranging from 40 to 80 feet throughout the Caribbean, New England, and Mediterranean. As a licensed broker, professional captain, and certified scuba instructor, Bret combines his navigational prowess with a deep understanding of catamaran and yacht usage for current and prospective owners.

Bret specializes in catamaran and yacht sales in Fort Lauderdale, offering an intimate knowledge of both sailing and power catamarans for private or charter use. His commitment to the yachting community is further evidenced by his role as an executive board member of the Virgin Islands Professional Charter Association.
