Biography

Dave re-joined the Denison Yachting team in November 2024 and is based in Marina del Rey, specializing in Hylas yachts.

Dave’s love for sailing began in the 1970s with an 18-foot Sol Cat beach catamaran, but it was in the 1990s that his passion truly took off. He started racing around buoys and on extended ocean courses, eventually owning a Catalina 36 and later racing on his Martin 242 and Farr 30. Over the years, Dave has participated in Bermuda races, yacht deliveries to the Virgin Islands, and cruising trips along the Mexican Pacific coast—often aboard new Hylas yachts with their owners. His sailing adventures include two unforgettable transits through the Panama Canal on a Hylas 70, experiencing the journey in both directions.

Since 1999, Dave has owned a rigging, marine electrical, and electronics business in Marina del Rey, holding ABYC and NMEA certifications. In 2002, he began working with Hylas Yachts, focusing on commissioning, servicing, and selling their line. His role took him to boat shows and commissioning events across the U.S., including Michigan, Chicago, and the Gulf Coast, as well as the pleasure of sailing and building relationships with new Hylas owners.

When not immersed in the yachting world, Dave enjoys riding his gravel bike, hiking, reading, and spending quality time with his wife and grandchildren.
