Yachties have spent many winters in the Caribbean and Bahamas and summers in the Mediterranean. But for some, the desire for something different—something more exotic—beckons. The Asia-Pacific and Southeast Asia regions are home to some of the world’s most breathtaking island destinations, with white sandy beaches, incredible diving, and crystal-clear blue waters. However, until recently, there was little infrastructure to accommodate yachts.
Now, destinations like Phuket, Bali, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sri Lanka, and the Maldives boast world-class marinas, elevating Southeast Asia’s profile on the global yachting map.
Superyachts departing the Mediterranean frequently include Singapore as a strategic stop on their itineraries. Known for its world-class large boat shipyards and reliable provisioning services, Singapore also serves as the Southeast Asian headquarters for numerous international equipment suppliers and marine service providers.
Beyond yachting, Singapore has solidified its reputation as an international financial powerhouse, attracting ultra-high-net-worth individuals and a record number of family offices. A stable economy, favorable tax policies, and world-class infrastructure have made it a preferred home base for the world’s elite, further enhancing its appeal as a luxury superyacht destination.
Returning for its third year, the Singapore Yachting Festival (SYF) offers a glimpse into the world of luxury yachting—showcasing the finest yachts, fostering community engagement, and strengthening Singapore’s position as a premier yachting hub. Hosted by ONE°15 Marina Sentosa Cove, the festival will take place from April 10-13, 2025, featuring over 70 yachts alongside a stunning array of marine crafts, supercars, hydrofoil boats, and more. In addition, JP Morgan Private Bank will join the show as a major sponsor and official banking partner, bringing an elevated experience to the VIP lounge.
SYF is a dynamic hub for the Southeast Asian yachting lifestyle, uniting world-leading yacht builders, suppliers, and luxury lifestyle brands. Expected exhibitors include Ferretti, Azimut, Leopard Catamarans, Fountaine Pajot, Princess, Sanlorenzo, Sunreef, Sunseeker, and more.
For 2025, SYF will expand significantly, featuring a 1,000+ sqm land-based exhibition hall, more on-water leisure marine activities, and a dedicated superyacht zone. With surging wealth and investment in Asia, demand for superyachts continues to rise. The new superyacht zone will cater to this growing interest, fostering industry expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. Additionally, an exclusive superyacht lounge will provide an immersive experience for prospective buyers, representatives of large yacht manufacturers, and industry experts—offering them a deeper insight into the world of superyacht ownership.
