SEA METRI V was built and designed with meticulous care for efficient cruising speeds, incorporating technically advanced weight saving construction methods and materials as well as to technical aspects for balance. Her light-weight planning hull (64 tons) with triple “tried and true” Volvo Penta D13-900(hp) IPS 1200 engines (pod drives), enable Sea Metri V, according to the builder’s claims, a 20% more efficient vessel over like size production yachts with larger engines and conventional drives. She has easy maneuverability, quick steering response, steadiness and low noise and vibration. According to her captain, she cruises at 20 kts. burning 100 gallons/hr., with a top speed of 25 kts. burning 135 gallons/hr. Her hours are low (780) and has been very well maintained.
