Founded in 1992, Italian luxury yacht builder AB Yachts helped pioneer the use of water jet drives. AB Yachts would be acquired by the FIPA Group of yacht brands which include names such as Maiora, Intermarine, and CBI Navi. AB Yachts utilizes the latest hull construction composed of advanced composites, carbon fiber, and kevlar. Starting with smaller boats, the company has grown to have a semi-custom line of luxury yachts ranging from 17 to 42 meters in length. Plans for larger superyachts are in the pipeline for AB.
