The Best Sea Ray Ever Built!
Cockpit:
The cockpit is large enough to entertain 12-16 people, we’ve had 22 on her. A real party boat.
Cabin:
Storage, storage and more storage with all the amenities make her a great boat to weekend on. We even closed the house up one summer and just stayed on her without ever feeling cramped.
Construction:
Really good, but has a major flaw in that the water tanks leak, and the foam gets wet through the bilge area. Had to cut dock holes out and replace the water tank. Windows on the side leak also, until you figure out how to stop them. Otherwise, great.
Handling:
Great going forward and turning with the tunnel drives, but when it comes to docking, backing her down in a wind can be tricky. After 17 years I mastered her, but it does take some learning, real light bow and the wind loves to turn her.
Engine Room:
Lucky me, I have Crusader 454’s. The mercs left a lot to be desired, Crusaders had it all over the Mercs.
General Comments:
Can’t go wring with a 390, best of the type around. Sure as hell beats the wellcrafts, trajanms and silvertons.
