Hey, guys, it’s Bob Denison and today I get to tell you about what we did in July of 2021. We’re going to break this up into three parts. The first part is what we’ve done. Second part is what we’re getting ready for. And the third part is who we are where we highlight somebody here at Denison doing something really cool.
So the first part, what we accomplished as an industry, a lot. So I’m going to not talk about the data too much because it’s going to be boring in a video, but I’m going to drop it in the comment section, we did a really comprehensive second quarter 2021 you can sort kind of global data in the yachting industry by type of boat, by geography, we have a breakout on superyacht sales and all of it’s just really good news. If you make your living in the world of yachting, it’s a great time to be doing it.
We talk a little bit about what we’ve been doing – Most recently, two huge sales that we’re so excited about and so proud of the first one is a 60 meter project at Amels in Holland Kurt BossHardt, Patrick Hopkins incredible. We were really, really fortunate to be part of this decision and part of the sale for who I consider one of the great yachtsmen of our era. And at the same time, we just completed a 37 XP Numarine new construction contract and Alex Clark is actually there in Turkey right now at Numarine, negotiating a fourth. We’re so excited and happy about our partnership with both of those brands Amels and Numarine.
Also, just last month, we picked up a lot of listings, it’s really hard right now because we’re living in a seller’s market getting really good listings. It’s harder and harder to do because people are using their boats more but we picked up two great ones one is a 77 Lagoon, the flagship of the lagoon sailing yacht series of sailing catamarans and that is listed centrally by Bruce Schattenburg, the other is a 112 Broward for a lot of reasons. I love love love Broward. This is a special boat Lady Sharon Gale listed by Will Noftsinger, both great values both really good platforms for charter, see Will and Bruce for more details on that.
On the what we’re getting ready for what we’re doing front a lot of things to run a booth what’s happening right now in Catalina Island, West Coast – stepbrother jokes are welcomed. The other is the Ocean Reef Rendezvous, which is going to be next week. And that’s going to be happening of course at Ocean Reef with our southeast clients. We are getting ready, the entire team here is preparing for both of those things and we just love doing that with clients. We’re also getting ready for the fall boat shows. So can September, Monaco, end of September and then we have the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show happening end of October beginning of November. A lot of work is happening. We’re doing the initial conversations with clients right now, final conversations with the show about where we’re going to be and how we’re going to do it. And that is coming up. So we’re working hard on that.
Also in this video, I’m going to talk a little bit about somebody at the company doing something cool and this month that somebody is actually some people because it’s Jordan Preusz and his wife Lauren, they crossed the Gulf Stream in a paddleboard in the middle of the night with a bunch of people to raise awareness and raise money for cystic fibrosis and they did both of those things, raise a lot of awareness raise a lot of money. We’re so proud of them. It’s a hard thing to do, especially at night and especially if you’re scared of sharks like I am, it was awesome.
Thank you guys so much for watching. We love doing these so much. Hopefully you caught a glimpse into who we are as a company and the people here at Denison who may come into work a blast. We will see you guys next month and hope everybody has an awesome August
