This article is a transcription of Denison’s October 2022 monthly recap video. Tune in monthly to discover the most recent yachting industry and superyacht news from Denison. Watch the full video above.

Hey guys, it’s Bob, and today we’re going to be talking about all the great things we did in October. We are way behind, so you’re going to be seeing this in November, and the theme of this video has nothing to do with October, but November. So sorry about that. It’s all going to be Thanksgiving related. So, Alex, can you put like a little Turkey here, some kind of pilgrim Thanksgiving thing. And then our three chapters of every video is what we’ve done, what we’re going to do, who we are. What we’re going to talk about first, what we’ve done. And the thing that we did in October, that was the biggest, craziest, best thing was the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. It’s like our Super Bowl, and instead of me talking about it, I’m going to ask Alex to drop in a recap, little highlight thing, right here of just 11 seconds. The timer starts now.

And that was the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, 2022. Thank you to everybody on our team that made it happen. It was a lot of work and I hope all of our clients felt good and loved.

The other thing that we did, we released issue number four of Frank Magazine, and I got to thank Billy Springer. I have to thank Jennifer Peacock and just all the people that made this happen. We’re really proud of the magazine. I love it. It’s my favorite magazine for obvious reasons. And if you don’t have a copy, pick one up. We’d be happy to send it to you.

And also during Fort Lauderdale Boat Show, the USSA, which is the US Super Yacht Association, had their annual meeting. And at that meeting, they presented Rose Damen with the first ever Gertrude Winslow Denison Award, which was to honor the Woman of the Year in yachting and the association. And our family was so proud of that award and really couldn’t think of a better recipient for the very first ever Gertrude Winslow Denison Award than Rose Damen. So congratulations to her.

And now I’m going to talk a little bit about some of the yachts we sold in October. And to make it a little funny, there’s no reason to do this other than I thought it might be funny. We’re going to list these yachts, using a TikTok voice. Is that what they call it? A TikTok voice?

Yes, that’s what it’s called. I’ll take it from here, Bob. Congratulations to Aleks Taldykin for selling Serenity 133 foot IAG built in 2016. Also Alex G. Clarke, who sold a 124 Ferretti. David Johnson sold a 98-foot Sunseeker called SOLARIS. And congrats to Peter Quintal and Gary Hardcastle for selling a 90 to foot Pershing called THE WOLF. Justin Nystedt and Joe Lazzara closed on a 92 Foot LAZZARA. One of the coolest boats we sold last month, sold by Michael Bach, who closed on a 73 foot Wally 2006. And we can’t forget about a very, very cool sport fish that Bill Slaughter sold. A 65 foot Jim Smith built in 2000 called BANDITO.

So what we’re going to do in the month of November, one of the big things we’re going to do is tell the world about Solace. Myself along with people from our team got to go to the factory recently and it was awesome. I’m convinced there’s never been a center console better built, and we are thrilled about the opportunities that live there.

Also, we’re going to be doing fun family stuff. So we’re in the midst of preparing for our great Christmas party because it’s November and also Thanksgiving and all the fun stuff that goes with it. And now it’s time for my annual Bob’s marketing tip. So if you’re a marketing professional, this is my tip to you. Don’t send a Thanksgiving email out. Nobody wants to hear from a company wishing them happy Thanksgiving. You will be unsubscribed immediately.

Also we’re going to be selling these new listings. First up, we have 127-foot Palmer Johnson, listed by Gary Hardcastle that’s located here in Florida. Peter Quintal, two new listings to talk about. One’s a 120 North Coast built in 2000 that is a co-central with our friends over at One Water Yacht Group and Tom George. Peter also has 106 Foot Horizon tri deck that he’s listing with Eric Mayol. That boat is currently in San Diego, California and will be moving here to Fort Lauderdale very, very soon. Will Noftsinger has two 94 Ferretti motor yachts. One was actually just at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. But it’s still available, so we’re going to be marketing those. Pierre over in our Monaco office has a listing on 93 Foot Ferretti. Mike Burke‘s got an 84 Horizon 2017 that I love, and also Riccardo, one of the coolest, best walkthrough videos that we’ve ever done as an 82 Pershing 2015 called VIXEN.

And now who we are, where we talk a little bit about this company and the people here. And today we’re going to be talking about two people that made a video and created an experience for a guy named Clif that I had never met until a few days ago. And it was a good reminder for me of what my favorite things about this place is and the people here is the fact that we, this brand, who we are as a company, we got soul. And not every place can say that, and I loved it. It was just this thing that happened organically where Griffin and Landen reached out to somebody that’s a fan of ours on social media who’s constantly engaging and just saying mostly great things about our videos and all that stuff. We invited him to come experience a boat show and I love everything about that. So thank you guys so much for watching, and I will see you guys next month. Happy Thanksgiving. Bye.
