40m Van der Valk Sold by Gary Hardcastle [Project EVO]

Denison Yachting is pleased to announce the sale of a new construction 40m Van der Valk superyacht. Project EVO was sold by Gary Hardcastle, who represented the Buyer.

Project EVO, a custom 40-metre superyacht, will be Van der Valk’s largest vessel in terms of length and volume. The yacht’s exterior was designed by SFG Yacht Design and Fancy by Dada, with enhancements by Cristiano Gatto Design who also developed the interior. It will feature an all-aluminum fast displacement hull, aiming for a top speed of 24 knots, and will meet the latest IMO Tier III emissions standards while being ABS class certified.

The yacht was commissioned by a family with extensive experience in high-performance yachts, focusing on a high-quality, Dutch-built vessel. The design process involved the family from the start, extending the yacht’s length during development. Naval architecture support came from Diana Yacht Design and Ginton Naval Architects. While specific details of the interior remain confidential, the finished design will include a master stateroom on the main deck, additional guest suites below, and crew accommodations at the front. The captain’s cabin will be located on the bridge deck.

Project EVO is scheduled for a Q1 2026 delivery.
