Seakeeper Stabalizers Opens South Florida Facility

Seakeeper, a maker of actively controlled gyro stabilization systems, opened a sales, service and parts facility near Fort Lauderdale, expanding the Maryland-based company’s presence to an area known for its extensive network of marine industry specialists.

The new 1,500-square-foot office and warehouse will be permanently staffed to work more closely with its local dealers, servicing installers and customers.

“We’re now physically in the heart of one of the country’s pre-eminent boatbuilding and boatyard regions, which is also a world-leading yachting destination,” Seakeeper COO John Kermet said in a statement. “The Fort Lauderdale area is the hub for refit activity on yachts bound for the Caribbean and Mexico. It’s important we support the local Seakeeper network and our large customer base with sales and service personnel, and full parts inventory.”

Seakeeper’s new facility is at 2821 SW 23rd Terrace, Suite 5, Dania Beach, Florida.

Besides its corporate and engineering headquarters in Maryland, the company maintains manufacturing, engineering and assembly operations in Pennsylvania.
