2013 Annapolis Boat Show Adds Yacht Brokerage Section

The 2013 Annapolis Boat Shows are adding an Annapolis Brokerage Show for the first time this year. The shows (both power and sail), are expected to attract more than 100,000 visitors to the Maryland seaport, beginning October 3, and provide a $50 million boost to the local economy, include the U.S. Powerboat Show, the U.S. Sailboat Show and the new Annapolis Yacht Brokerage Show.

The yacht brokerage show will promote the sale of previously owned boats of all kinds. A large selection of boats presented by area brokers will be on display in St. Mary’s Cove just inside the bridge on Spa Creek and be available to the public for immediate sale.

The oldest in-water powerboat show will be held on the first weekend in October, followed immediately by the oldest sailboat show, which is set to take place during the Columbus Day weekend.

Beginning with a V.I.P. Preview Day on October 3, the 42nd annual U.S. Powerboat Show will herald the arrival of the brokerage show. The powerboat and brokerage shows run from Oct. 3-6.

The 44th annual U.S. Sailboat Show, which runs from October 10-14, hosts more new sailboat models introductions than any other show. At least 40 new models are premiering this year.

Produced annually on consecutive weekends by U.S. Yacht Shows, the shows host more than 250 sailboats, more than 300 powerboats and hundreds of land exhibitors. The two shows will be held concurrently with buses, e-cruisers and water taxis ferrying attendees between the two events. One admission price will provide entry to the powerboat and brokerage shows.
