Location, Amenities Fuel One Island Park’s Popularity

April 12, 2017 1:11 pm

One Island Park Marina, IGY Marinas’ newest superyacht facility in Miami Beach, Florida, has been a popular destination this winter due to its array of benefits specifically for megayachts.

The marina, which offers easy access from Atlantic Ocean and is walking distance to famed South Beach, has 8-10 superyacht slips that can accommodate vessels 100’ – 800’ (244m) long, up to 70’ beam and up to 40’ draft.

There are no air draft restrictions at the marina, which is captain of the port exempt and adjacent to a U.S. Coast Guard Station.

“It’s a fantastic location. It’s extremely easy to get in and out of the inlet,” said Denison’s Kevin Frawley, who used to be based at the adjacent Coast Guard base. “It’s secure, and it’s also an extremely private location. But at the same time, you have great views of the city and you’re close to South Beach, great restaurants and everything else Miami has to offer.”

Electric services up to 480v 3-phase 600 amp are available, as well as concierge services, a 24-hour security gate and guard and full vessel service, including provisioning, fueling and crane services.

A variety of local services are easily accessible, such as laundry & dry cleaning, vessel maintenance, restaurants, shopping, & nightlife, activities for owners, guests, and captains & crew. Yacht-side parking offers convenience and added privacy.

Since opening, the facility has been widely used by yacht crew and owners alike for a myriad of reasons including entertaining, maintenance, vessel warranty work, preparation for long travels and crossings and accessing local South Florida events,” said Gili Wojnowich, general manager of One Island Park Marina.

“The marina’s design allows for extremely easy access to a wide array of shore-side services including fuel bunkering, crane operations, mechanics, pump-outs, etc., and its size creates a truly intimate, private, and secure setting for vessels and their crew and guests.”

Future additions to the site will include the enhancement of on-site crew amenities and a private helicopter pad.

Guests and crew can expect to receive the same level of service they have come to expect from an IGY destination with seamless access to any of IGY’s strategic Anchor Club partners. To learn more or reserve a slip, contact Gili Wojnowich at 754.701.4020 or Miami@IGYMarinas.com.
