Lauderdale Marine Center Adds Lifts, Offers Haulouts

Lauderdale Marine Center is adding two new Cimolai lifts to expand the number of boats it can haul at its sprawling Fort Lauderdale facility.

“Brutus” is a 220-short-ton capacity lift that can hoist a maximum beam of 30 feet and approximately 130 feet in length. And the “Beast” is a 485-short-ton capacity lift that can hoist a maximum beam of 34.5 feet and approximately 180 feet in length.

Brutus is already in use, and the Beast will being service mid-August. LMC hosted a reception last week to welcome the new lifts.

LMC is also offering a free haul, block and launch for vessels getting bottom jobs by August 31. The facility also became a designated marine trade zone earlier this summer.
