Carver Yachts has just completed the first sea trials of its new C34 Coupe. This new Coupe offers all the features and amenities for which Carver Yachts is well known – space utilization, accommodations, storage, quality and craftsmanship and affordability.
Starting with its bold styling, expansive interior layout with optional private guest accommodations and solid Carver quality and construction, the new C34 Coupe offers an entirely new level of comfort and seaworthiness in its class. Its first sea trials revealed a quiet, dry ride and exceptional performance. With twin 300 HP Mercury MerCruiser stern drives, and a 2′ to 3′ chop, the new C34 Coupe topped out at 35.5 knots with a full load.
The C34’s main level offers a well-appointed galley with solid-surface countertops, a comfortable U-shaped dinette with adjustable high-low dining table and filler cushions, opening salon windows with screens, and a large, optional retractable sunroof provides ample ventilation and natural light. European-style sliding glass doors create a seamless indoor-outdoor living space from salon to cockpit.
The starboard-side helm station incorporates an adjustable seat, allowing the driver to stand or sit as desired. It also provides substantial space for today’s most popular navigation systems, instrumentation and electronics.
Cabin headroom throughout main level is a best-in-class, 6 feet, 8 inches, with as much as 6 feet, 5 inches in the lower level.
Just a few steps down from the salon, the C34’s forward stateroom features a large berth, ample storage and plenty of natural light. Also on the lower level is a comfortable L-shaped sofa that converts to a full-size berth. The head offers a separate enclosed shower stall, very rare feature in a boat this size, and a vanity with solid-surface countertop and vessel sink.
The C34’s cockpit features L-shaped lounge seating and an optional cocktail table. There’s also plenty of stowage for fenders and lines, as well as easy engine access. A starboard transom door leads to a large, integrated swim platform, available with an optional grill, entertainment center and an optional hydraulic swim platform.
Within the C34’s beautiful design and appointments lies the true heart and soul of every Carver Yacht. To keep the C34 lighter without sacrificing strength, Carver uses a unique vacuum infused resin technology that draws in a precise amount of resin to saturate the fiberglass laminate, rather than “over wetting” like other processes can do. This state-of-the-art technology, used to create the hull and many other component parts, results in the elimination of voids and excess fiberglass and resin build-up making the part both lighter and stronger.
Next, fiberglass stringers provide additional structural integrity, reinforcing the bow as well as the hull bottom. These stringers are created using multiple layers of fiberglass-engineered fabric for lighter weight, superior strength and resistance to water damage, making the C34 one of the strongest and best performing boats in its class.
Whether owners plan to cruise or just spend the day on the hook, the new Carver Yachts C34 Coupe will provide all the comfort and amenities necessary to enjoy treasured time on the water. Plus, it’s designed, built and backed by one of the marine industry’s most innovative builders.
The new Carver C34 Coupe will make its debut at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show November 1-5, 2017.
