About Amels Yachts

Hailing from the Netherlands, Amels is a shipbuilder that draws from its legendary Dutch heritage in the seafaring world. Founded in 1918, Amels takes full advantage of their exceptionally skilled and experienced artisans to compete in the Superyacht market. Amels entry into the Luxury yacht market began in 1982 with the launch of Katalina, a 48m ship that would grab the attention of many in the 1980's.

Notable launches from more recent times include the 75m behemoth named Montkaj, the largest yacht ever created by Amels. The 2004 launch of Ilona was a major milestone for Amels as the 73.69m Superyacht won plaudits for her uniquely graceful curves and lines. Superyachts in the midst of creation by Amels can be found in their state of the art dry dock facility with full climate control and housing capabilities of up to 200 meters. Amels also supports total refits in conjunction with Damen.
