Testimonials

I had been looking for a boat for a few months before I was introduced to Paul Denton Jr. and I will tell you that I had put all yacht brokers into the same category as a used car salesman. I was so disgusted by the way the first three brokers I was dealing with conducted business that I was just going to have to look for boats that were for sale by owners. Then I was introduced to Paul. Although I still had my doubts, Paul was confident he could earn my business and find the best boat for me. Paul took the time to ask me questions about what I wanted/expected from a new boat and after that conversation, he steered me in a different direction than I was originally looking. Thank goodness this young man not only knows his boats but also knows how to listen and will make suggestions based on his experience. I went from almost buying a 2001 68 Ferretti to actually closing on a 2019 Regal 42 Fly and I am so grateful for Paul. I am a business owner myself and I will tell you, you have a rare breed with Paul–my suggestion is to consider yourself very lucky that he hangs his hat with you. He never once even hesitated to go see a boat, no matter where it was. From South Carolina to Puerto Rico, Paul was ready to go. If you knew me as a person, you would know that I'm a one- or two-sentence response kind of person, but Paul is every bit worth this review. I will buy all my future boats from Paul and will only refer him to any potential buyers I run into.

Thank you, Paul and Denison Yachting, for a great boat-purchasing experience–6 stars out of 5.

Thanks, Paul, for the great boat-buying experience we have just completed! As I sit here tonight on my 66 Hampton in the New River in Fort Lauderdale (and thrilled with my purchase), I am reflecting on 2022 and all the twists and turns to get here tonight. You and I started talking well over a year ago after meeting at the St. Petersburg Boat Show. I can't thank you enough for the perseverance that you have shown during this buying process. You have shown my family and me a very high level of patience and professionalism during the selection process. You have listened and provided great advice and have shown us numerous boats that ultimately helped us understand our true needs in the next vessel. I look forward to a long-term relationship as I am sure "two foot itus" will rear its head in the next few years! We look forward to the next adventure in 2023!

Testimonials

I recently worked with Aleks to purchase a 2007 Marquis 690. I've bought several yachts through the years; Aleks was incredible to work with and is the only broker I'll work with in the future. He knows the market incredibly well and helped me steer clear of a few bad options and eventually find something that checked all the boxes. He also helped overcome a difficult seller, put me in touch with a yacht management company in Florida (I'm in California) for repairs/upgrades, coordinated shipping for transport through Panama, and walked me through the paperwork to pick it up in Ensenada. Every step of the way Aleks went above and beyond to make sure things went smoothly. Whether this is your first time buying or your tenth, I can't recommend Aleks enough.

I just wanted to call out again the excellent job Kim Dumas performed on my recent purchase of a used 2018 Monterey 355 SY that was located in Gig Harbor, WA. Currently, the boat is en route to San Diego via truck.

I won’t buy or sell a boat without a professional boat broker. And that is how Kim performs. She knows I have super high standards and am detailed-oriented. Since she helped me sell my previous boat in April 2021, she’s endured my boat shopping over the last 1 ½ years. She never questioned why I asked many questions of the selling broker through her.  She made sure that the selling broker would answer the questions---and if the answers weren’t sufficient, Kim never complained nor told me to lower my standards when I moved on to another vessel.

I am glad that she focuses on the brokerage business within OneWater.   Sure, new boats are nice, but there is always a secondary and tertiary market. And just as Sewell wrote in his book Customers for Life, it is so important to create and maintain those relationships because of the cost to acquire a new customer versus the cost to maintain a current customer. Kim understands that well.

My appreciation for the job that Kim Dumas performed on this purchase.
