We had a Beneteau 505 sailing yacht listed for sale in Tortola with another yacht broker. We had received listing requests from Denison for a couple years. These mailings included valuable information regarding boats on the market and boats sold. I recently sold a 55’ Azimut that I had listed for sale with Denison Yacht Sales, through Justin Onofrietti, in October of 2010. The boat had been sailed from Connecticut to Florida and, prior to its arrival, I was aware of several problems with the yacht including gel coat discoloration, excessive vibration and non-responsive electronics. The boat was delivered to the Florida Azimut dealer in to correct these problems. Subsequently, it took almost 6 months to correct the defects which precluded our ability to actually market the boat.
During that time, Justin was there, checking on the yacht on a regular basis. He sea trialed the boat several times and was extremely helpful in communicating with the Azimut dealer in view of the fact that I was in Connecticut at the time.
Finally, in early April 2011, most of the work had been competed and we began to actively market my Azimut. Within a month Justin was able to secure a buyer and negotiate a great purchase price. He subsequently coordinated the survey and the paperwork throughout the closing process.
I can’t say enough good things about Justin. His professionalism, compassion and efficiency are second to none and I would definitely engage him, and Denison Yacht Sales, in the future. I thought it appropriate that such good work be commended.
