Ken Denison

I have been privileged to meet Ken Denison when both of us were at the beginning of our yachting careers. Ken took his family business to the highest level thanks to his hard work, genius marketing approach and consistent belief in his team of designers, builders and finishers. Broward Marine, under Ken’s era became quickly one of the leading Yacht manufacturers in the World.  Ever since, I have been found of Ken’s approach and permanently strive to serve his clients in the best possible way. His market and technical knowhow have allowed him to work hand to hand with the best designers and shipyards in the world and gain the respect of our industry.

But Ken is also a fantastic creator of opportunities by searching and finding the best possible deals for his clients. You can achieve such respectful performance, once you have gained the intimate knowledge of our industry.

Ken gave me the opportunity to work closely with him at several occasions beginning from the “Broward Marine days.” His respectful attitude makes him a great professional and appreciated father. His personal values and integrity make him a true leader and I will highly encourage any of his future business development. Not too often can I write a statement on somebody that I have admired before becoming his “respectful friend”.

In my opinion, Ken deserves much of the credit. His marketing programs were innovative and unique and his dedication to getting it right for the client unsurpassed. The reasons for his success were deeper than this however.

While I was “book trained” in the technical elements of yacht design Ken had absorbed a deep knowledge of design and construction growing up in the yard. Ken understands how a proper yacht is put together as well as what makes it appealing to yachtsmen. Ken pushed Broward towards the future improving not only the styling and interiors but the outfitting,

Ken pushed Broward towards the future improving not only the styling and interiors but the outfitting, systems and structure. Ken was dedicated to building better boats and many who had the opportunity to join him in this challenge fondly refer to the yard as “Broward-U”, Ken was Chancellor!

I have known Ken for a long time, memory fails but it is probably since I first got into this business some 30 odd years ago.

He was always active and as I got to deal with him on projects, later on, I appreciated his sincere and committed approach in the way he dealt with his clients and potential customers, always honest, attentive and telling it how it is, whether about negotiations on sales, purchases, construction and sometimes on design. 

That, to me is an indication that he knows his stuff, always having his client’s best interest at heart.  I wish him success in his future ventures.
